Just don’t vote for Jimmy Carter or the likes!
One of my favorite songs. And I don’t like country.

You've only now heard of "Take Me Home, Country Roads"?!? Sheesh.
Mount yer Mama, take me home...
I like the video of John and this song on The Muppets show the best.
I hear her voice in the morning as she screams at me
Radio reminds me of a bar not far away
Driving down this road gives me the feeling that I should have left home yesterday
Yesterday
How weird:
Alien Covenant was on in the background and that scene just played a few minutes ago.
The song mentions the Shenandoah River, which is almost entirely in Virginia except for the last few miles before it flows into the Potomac, where it runs through Jefferson County, WV. Jefferson County and Berkeley County, the two counties in the eastern panhandle of WV, were not originally part of West Virginia when it was formed in 1863 but were added to the state later. Supposedly that was done at the behest of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad—they could not collect for any damages to their railroad if it was in a “rebel” state. Or so I read once.
I’ve lived a sheltered life
Funny. Enjoyed that.
Denver was a troubadour for my generation. I just wish he’d have stayed away from experimental airplanes!
I generally don't like country music either, but I do like that song.
I do like some of the older country songs I grew up listening to when I was a kid. Not the newer urban cowboy type of stuff (to be polite) though.
