Ann Wilson, lead singer of the rock band Heart, announced she was diagnosed with cancer and that the group will postpone the remaining shows on its Royal Flush Tour.
In a statement on Tuesday, the rock legend, 74, said she removed a cancerous growth via surgery and is recovering steadily.
Her doctors, however, urged her to undergo preventive chemotherapy and to take time off from performing “in order to fully recover.”

My wife had a lumpectomy in early 2013. The surgeon said “I got it all!”, so she declined post op chemo and radiation. The radiologists made her sign a waiver.
It came back in her spine and femurs three years later. Shied died in October of 2020.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I recall reading that ABC news reporter Cokie Robert’s also had a lumpectomy that “got it all” only to die from the disease some years later. RIP.
Sad news...hope she recovers.
I’m so sorry. My wife died 5 months after we found out about her ‘bile duct’cancer.

“We got it all” is The biggest LIE next to “Safe & Effective”.
The rock ledged said she had a cancerous growth removed and is recovering.
I believe the cancer was initially spread when she had her breast exams, before the lumpectomy. From what she was telling me they squeezed the crap out of it every which way trying to get an image.
I believe cancer cells broke off and traveled to other parts of her body. I explained my theory to her PCP and he scoffed at me.
I had plans to attend the Heart concert Oct 14 in Nashville and Nov 14 in Memphis. I hadn’t bought tickets yet, so I don’t have to worry about refunds.
I wish Ann Wilson a speedy recovery. I alway did like their music. I bought their first 6 albums as they came out way back when.
