Well, I suppose it is kind of newsworthy when a serial plagiarist properly attributes a quotation...in a man bites dog kind of way.
It is a grammatical error. The buffoons who write his script are ignorant of the king’s English.
One should say “Justice Sotomayor said, and I quote, blah blah blah, end of quote”.
Not a hanging offense except to the grammar police, but an error still.

Actually in that context, when quoting someone for broadcast, you end the spokenquote by saying, “End quote.” At that time he was quoting Sotomyor’s dissenting opinion.
I want to skewer the guy as much as anyone, but even a blind squirrel gets it right some times.
He’s high as a kite. But in the long term it will make his underlying condition worse. And they’ll have to keep giving him higher doses over time because his body will get used to it. It’s a snowball effect that could be quite rapid at some point.
