WASHINGTON — Donald Trump made history in 2016 when, as a presidential candidate, he issued an initial list of 11 people he would use as a "guide" for potential Supreme Court nominees, to allay concerns he would not choose conservative judges. He added to those lists while president, which included his three high court candidates: Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. He was the first major presidential candidate to telegraph his political strategy so clearly on a tea-leaves topic that is fraught with uncertainty.
Sources close to the presumptive GOP nominee say he again plans to release a similar list in coming weeks or months. As he did eight years ago, Trump will be emphatic, saying he would only choose from the new slates of candidates if there is a Supreme Court vacancy.

What follows is an unofficial list of potential candidates for the Supreme Court by Trump. It was compiled from a number of sources, including officials within his inner circle, and Republican political and legal circles.
His team is still compiling a public list that remains in flux, but these are some of the names being considered:
Judge Amul Thapar, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit,...

I’d let Justice Clarence Thomas select his own replacement.
No more WEAK WOMEN! Amy is Lame,
would be great if the wise latina keeled over the day after Trump takes office :)
They need younger people on this list. Aileen Cannon is earning her consideration but I suspect DC will never let that happen.
I’LL take Britt Grant, born in 1978.
We have a 6-3 advantage now-supposedly.
I say replace Thomas and Alito in the first year. 2nd year gets interesting.
‘Offer’ to put Hillary there. Hear me out.
We’d still be ahead 5-4 and while she wouldn’t want it she only has to serve until ‘29, giving them a chance to keep the seat. She’d take it for the team while Bill’s free.
What could Trump demand from the democrats in congress? Big spending cuts they could always restore if they win in ‘28. Eliminate whole departments they can’t restore.
Trump’s the dealmaker. I’d be awesome.
If a leftie judge quits or croaks leave the seat empty until the last minute. They can function with 8 meaning a majority will have to be a supermajority.
Once she is on the SC there is no way to hold the democrats to the deal. They would deny it and every single part of it while maybe suggesting that what Trump really wanted in return was money - you know like he took a bribe.
Their snakes, spitting cobras.

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
As a staunch supporter of constitutionally limited power federal government, I say that new, Trump supporting Congress that Democratic and Republican patriots give him in November needs to impeach and remove all justices (they can resign) so that Trump & patriots have a new, Supreme Court that respects fed's constitutionally limited powers. No more scandalous, Constitution-ignoring Supreme Court decisions like Roe v. Wade and Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc.
The last part of the swamp that needs to be drained is the Senate because of constitutionally staggered terms. Note that conservative voters could have theoretically replaced all senators twice by this time since Obama's first midterm. But post-17th Amendment ratification patriots have been asleep at the wheel imo.
What Trump needs to concentrate on before any future seat on the Supreme Court is looking at these candidates as his Attorney General choice. I haven’t reviewed who on the list has past prosecutor experience, but he needs to look at these lawyers from this perspective and how they will cleaning house at the FBI. His most immediate, pressing selection is to pick a good hard nosed conservative AG and at the same time it would be a great way to test possible future Supreme Court appointee by first seeing how he/she performs as his AG.
Judge Thomas is probably ready to retire. He has served for quite some time.
*Once she is on the SC there is no way to hold the democrats to the deal.*
Au contrare. Make them vote on the cuts before the appointment. Reagan offered a buck for 2 bucks of cuts. You’re right. They didn’t live up to their end.
The rats won’t play so they run the risk of a 7-2 minority SCOTUS. As Trump told the libertarians you can keep holding on to yourselves and your 3%.
Replace Thomas with someone from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, if he’s willing to retire. The 5th Circuit has been consistently conservative and it would be more difficult to argue with the selection of an experienced Federal judge who’s just one step below the Supreme Ct.
Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett are NOT originalist. They certainly are NOT constitutional conservative. I NEVER cared for Kavanaugh. Barrett is flat out liberal.

“We have a 6-3 advantage now”
Do you really believe this. At best it is 2 - 3 - 4: Two solid conservatives/originalists, three radical leftists and four wishy washy (Roberts, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Barrett. Barrett is going to b e another Sandra Day O’Connor. None of the three Trump appointees are really originalists if you read their decisions.
I have been disappointed by Amy on many critical decisions, but she has not {YET} been the deciding vote on a critical vote.
I do not trust her, but so far, she has not yet switched to vagina voting with the other three cu*&s on the court.
The worst of the bunch is the head of the court, a true snake and NEVER to be trusted.
When that prick sold us out on obamacare, I knew they had pix of him with a sheep {or chicken or young male adopted kid}.
Trump needs to have someone he really trusts to vet his next SCOTUS choice.
And yet they voted overturn Roe versus Wade so there is that.
