If you're a small town or rural consumer, you might find this of interest.

It's a 13-minute youtube video show how this corporation is taking you dollars to support people and causes you might find personally or morally repugnant, or to stockholders in larger dividends.

ACK! HOW DARE YOU!

it’s not, believe me. While some lefties have moved in we aren’t anywhere close to being Austin or even Nashville.

I sent this video to my husband a few days ago. We have had two farms, some livestock and about 5 tractors. He has purchased from TS for such a long time but NO MORE. He is going to go to the local hardware stores from now on. I know that the employees don’t have anything to do with this but this is people voting with their wallets. WE are sick and tired of funding this CRAP none of us have signed up for.

You can BET that if THEY knew we were funding Christian causes or Conservative causes with THEIR money, they would riot, burn and murder people.

Farm & Fleet was our choice, too.

“I grew up in a town of 2500. When Walmart moved in and not one local business it competed with went under. Not a one”

Not such in the way of a data point to draw any conclusion.

“Another Chinese store front.”

That’s really all it is, with very few exceptions.

Do they not realize who their customer base is?

Only thing I ever bought at TSC was “horse paste” in June 2021.

“rural people can’t waste time boycotting or picketing”

Fair point—but it is amazing what even one person can do if they want to do it.

I have done it—all by myself. Here is what I did....

Years ago the local bank (statewide, so not that small) gave no notice and added a bunch of charges on accounts of its customers.

I had been banking there for decades with no issue and it ticked me off...and I decided to create my own public relations campaign to see if I could reverse the decision.

Step 1: I got on the Internet and got the names and snail mail addresses of each member of the Board of Directors.

Step 2: I then looked up the senior marketing executive and president of the bank and their snail mail address.

Step 3: I spent a few days on this and carefully researched and then drafted a letter making my case. I argued that they were sacrificing short term gain for long term customer relationships—and gave specific examples of companies that had done this in the past and paid the price. The first letter went out to the Marketing VP and the President of the bank.

Step 4: They responded and told me to go ^%$# off....lol.

I was ready.

Step 5: I sent a copy of my letter and attached the bank’s letter to each member of the Board of Directors. I added a paragraph listing the state and federal bank regulators and legislators who I planned to contact if I did not receive satisfaction.

But—I was not done yet.

Step 6: I sent a copy of all of this to the local newspaper consumer reporter with a cover note saying this affected a lot of people in the area and asking them to cover it.

What happened next:

One week later the newspaper published a full article (page long!) from the consumer reporter on this topic. It quoted parts of my letter almost word for word without attribution.

One week later the bank sent out a letter to all customers fully reversing their policy!

Yeah—I did it. Just me.

Is there anywhere these corporate boards will take a stand and say “no”?

Probably when the leftists reach their own front doors, and by then it will be too late. They're tossing middle and right America aside, and those are the individuals who could save their hides. Middle and right American lacks generals. The leftists has then in spades, or at least leaders willing to make personal sacrifices.

In most cases I don’t think they’re useful (Bud Light excepted).

So what made the Bud Light "boycott" different or better for you?

I, for one, am happy to have the info. I can shop at many places, buy coffee at many places, buy many different brands of beer. I like to know about "woke" corporate policies (or conversely, non-woke people and companies), and all else being equal, I may be able to simply switch to another brand or outlet. Very simple. No need to over-analyze.

See post 31.

Tractor Supply’s evocative Western style clothing and footwear are mostly made of polyester and in China. Anyone who sweats working outside does not want to wear polyester instead of cotton, wool or leather.

Try the local Farmer’s COOP. In our town Tractor Supply and the COOP are 3 doors apart on the Interstate frontage road. Easy to compare prices - the COOP’s are always less and the salespeople actually know what they are selling. Cost to join is $10 for a lifetime membership to the COOP. Disclaimer - I am a 50 year member and worked for the COOP in the late 1970s
