I think you are being sarcastic, but just the opposite is true. This variant of the bird flu doesn't seem to kill the birds like past variants. But the expert's solution is to kill all of the sick birds and all of the other birds on the same farm, e.g. help put the farmer out of business. This is like killing all of the humans that caught COVID to stop COVID.

I believe we should let most diseases run their course. It strengthens the host and lets the virus migrate into a less serious variant. Please remember that the Spanish flu is still with us, it has just modified itself into being much less lethal.

I think many people would not want to eat a chicken that came from a farm with an outbreak - and at the least, they’d want to know the disease status.

We lost over 50 million birds in each of the past two outbreaks; yes, many were culled to reduce the spread; but infected birds had up to a 90% to 100% mortality.

I’m not very concerned about human transmission; but potential problems with the food supply and the cost to farmers are concerning.
