Thanks to a tip from a friend, I came across a recent story from citizen journalist Tony Seruga that was highly suspect, and very concerning—uniforms, cruiser decals, and radios from the New York Police Department were disappearing, in significant numbers.
Now, Seruga is reporting that the missing law enforcement gear and supplies isn’t a mystery that’s exclusive to the Big Apple, but apparently happening across the nation:

There has always been the occasional dry cleaner thefts, police vehicle burglaries, badges/ID, guns stolen from personal vehicles/home burglaries but this is different, targeting dozens of items at the same time.
19 NYPD uniforms are missing from a New York dry cleaners.
And last month, 200 NYPD complete police vehicle vinyl stickers went missing from a vendor.
Disclaimer: I have no idea who Tony Seruga is other than the self-description he offers in his X bio, so take it with a grain of salt, but this man claims to be a “contractor” and “whistleblower” in the intelligence community, and as far as I can tell after a brief internet search, Seruga has neither been labeled a fraud, nor had his purported professional record “debunked.”
Seruga also writes this:
Dozens of LEOs with experience in counterintelligence are pointing fingers at a rogue FBI working with DIA and CIA. The NYPD radios stolen were in a locked room. CCV were disabled and access card logs erased.
(I think “CCV” is supposed to be CCTV.)

I am mulling all of the possible reasons this would happen. I am interested in opinions and thought I would throw this out there.
2.A false flag operation by feds. Maybe an assassination.
Probably just a few overly-enthusiastic cosplayers, trying to one-up all their little nerd friends. Relax, Biden’s got this.
I was in Mexico for work a few years ago. A truck drove by full of “police” in tactical SWAT gear. Our bodyguard told me that they could be real cops, could be cartel or could be both.
Having been involved in military logistics for most my career, here’s my take. But, first, a story. A cargo plane crash occurred on a base where a friend was working. It was common practice that when they couldn’t find stuff, they’d take any opportunity to “scrap it out.” If there was a fire, then whatever they couldn’t find was in that fire and could therefore be scrapped out. My friend was on the panel looking into the cause of the crash. In a meeting he announced he had found the cause of the crash. He presented a table of the things that had “been onboard” and their weight. He said, “The plane was four times over its maximum takeoff weight.” He was reassigned to a different job.
So how does stuff get “lost.” There’s a myriad of ways. In my book a principal cause is the commanding officer declares that X needs to be up and running by Y and if it isn’t heads will roll. So, stuff is pulled from inventory and thrown into X and before the techs can go in and do the paperwork the next heads-will-roll crisis hits, and the paperwork never reflects what happened to the inventory. Some version of this is always happening along with a chronic shortage of trained people to do all the paperwork along with archaic systems that are difficult to make function even on the occasions when they are working.
Another thing is just how the inventory works. Y is a subcomponent of X. X gets installed in a vehicle, but Y is still on the books. Y is now “lost.” Another thing is you can’t imagine how big some of these warehouses are. You could lose a Buick. Put something on the wrong shelf and it might as well be on the moon. It is now “lost.”
And of course, some stuff just walks out the door to be repurposed into beer money at a scrap yard. But my guess is that’s the lowest amount of “lost” stuff.
I’ll go with the feds’ getting the stuff, then delivering it to the military-aged men coming through our border. Same as all those weapons the government bought a few years ago allegedly for its various departments and agencies.
I am not sure what 'this' means but I am going to take a shot using my conspiracy theorist mind set.
What you have when you put all this police equipment together with a large influx of military age (and probably trained) men is what you would need if you wanted to internally disrupt civil order during a overthrow of a nation.
Put a bogus police force on the streets in cars indistinguishable from the real thing, including that these cars are equipped with communications equipment that can listen in and make calls on police frequencies?
The mayhem that a large enough force of phony cops could do is inestimable.
And considering how low the professionalism has sunk after decades of lowered standards for admission to the profession, the winnowing of the ranks from "Defund the Police" efforts of the Democrats and aging out of the experienced officers, it would be quite easy for a force of phony cops to totally take over a large city like NYC using a phony police force.

That said, how can anyone TRUST any LEO in uniform when it’s being openly reported that some of their uniforms and equipment are going missing all over the country.
Either used as LARP Gear or something more nefarious?

For the sake of discussion, let’s call this a real Tinfoil Hat episode. Those are probably the two most likely explanations. Turning it over in my head, one other wild possibility occurs.
If a mythical federal “Deep State Swamp” were planning a Gestapo-like putsch, where the Feds take over everything, redneck, antidemocracy insurrectionists could be expected to be attacking anyone in federal uniforms or federal vehicles. People moving around in local police uniforms and local vehicles would be less subject to attack by insurrectionists. Sort of like the example given of the truckload of guys in military gear who might be cartel or might be Mexican government.
More like general maskirovka than a false flag attack.
So the unsavory can imitate cops for whatever nefarious reason.
Not an unlikely scenario at all.
They will be occupied by MS-13 when the time comes.

That’s a website called Scam.com and gives no specific info about legal action. I searched and found no record of any past, pending or current federal action taken against Ripoff Report or its owner. I found one example of a state lawsuit in which RR had to pony up a little over $14k in attorney fees to the plaintiff, in 2023.
I intended to post the following to myself, since looking into Seruga yielded more information.

Earlier this year Seruga made claims via his X account about Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels. One America News - OAN - published it. They had to retract it because Cohen apparently sued OAN for defamation and won.

Tony Seruga is a highly regarded X (Twitter) political pundit. Seruga, who has over 78,000 followers, also claims to be an “Intel Ops CIA/NSA Contractor and Whistleblower” in his profile.
Nope.
What’s really going on here is probably that they’re using this guy as an agent of chaos. Meaning he’s out there making outlandish and outright false claims, while sounding like he has insider knowledge. All pasted on top of his (apparent) dubious personal history.
There were two other FR posts using Seruga’s information as gospel - on November 16 and 17, 2023. One post starts out:

The story is not either of these individuals. It is whether the stories of a rapid increase of police equipment losses is true or not. And if it is true, why is it happening. I was hoping that some with LEO background or close contacts could add some information.
Thanks for the post about inventory loss. I have done lots of contractor work on military bases so I can see how that could be the issue. I will keep my attention on this just in the event there is more than the normal inventory losses going on.
