Former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg, the billionaire entrepreneur and former Democratic presidential candidate, has given nearly $20 million to help President Biden’s reelection effort, according to people familiar with the donations.
The transfer of funds includes a $19 million check to FF PAC, a independent pro-Biden group also known as Future Forward, and a max-out donation of $929,600 to the Biden Victory Fund, an amalgamation of Biden campaign and Democratic Party committees.
Bloomberg endorsed Biden’s reelection Thursday in a statement to The Washington Post, in response to a request for comment on the donations.
“I stood with Joe Biden in 2020, and I am proud to do so again,” Bloomberg said.

This reminds me, I heard a bit of a South Carolina debate Tuesday night between Air National Guard Lt. Col. Sheri Biggs and Pastor Mark Burns for Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District
Burns accused Biggs of being against the 2nd Amendment because she accepted out of state money from anti-Second Amendment Bloomberg. Biggs response was that she was very pro 2nd Amendment and she “didn’t even know who this Bloomberg person was”.
That comment seemed a bit strange to me. I would think anyone running for political office, and has pro-Second as part of their platform would definitely know who Bloomberg was when it comes to gun rights.
This is a run-off election for next week (June 25) and the winner will face the Democrat candidate for the seat in November.
My question is if anyone here has any insight on this race? I’m not in SC, but I need to know who to root for next week. LOL!
