It's ON: South Korea May Arm Ukraine Amidst New Russia-North Korea Pact

Posted on 06/20/2024 7:21:59 AM PDT by RandFan

South Korea is reconsidering its policy on providing lethal weapons to Ukraine in response to a recent defense pact between Russia and North Korea. This shift comes after South Korea condemned the agreement between Russia and North Korea, which pledged mutual defense assistance in the event of war. Previously, South Korea had only provided non-lethal aid to Ukraine, but the new development could see South Korea supplying artillery shells and possibly other lethal weapons to support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.

Global crooks need to protect their money laundering and biolab operations.

The biggest money launderer in the world is the US, in DC.

The biggest biolab operator is China, with the assistance of criminals at NIH and US research institutions.

Because everyone except the neocons wants peace? Russia invaded Ukraine a second time to grab more territory because it wants peace? Hamas butchered +1000 Israeli civilians because it wants peace? The mullahs in Iran and Hezbollah want peace?

I thought I had seen the last of peacenik stupidity after Vietnam, but it appears to have infected the right.

I'm not opposed to the US fighting wars, just opposed to fighting wars the elite will not win.

See my tagline.

Zeepers are your enemies as much as Putin. We are about to see yet another world war stemming from the lunatics in Eastern Europe with their generational hatreds.

So what? My point stands. Ukraine is a very corrupt nation.

Not worth starting WWIII over.

See my tagline.

It says “I’m yet another foreigner trying to bend an American site to my arrogant foreign expectations.” Or something like that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Code Pink, the Greens, the libertarians, they are all still there.

The Democratic Socialists of America

“On Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine
The Democratic Socialists of America condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and demands immediate diplomacy and de-escalation to resolve this crisis. We stand in solidarity with the working classes of Ukraine and Russia who will undoubtedly bear the brunt of this war, and with antiwar protestors in both countries and around the world who are calling for a diplomatic resolution.
(snip)
DSA reaffirms our call for the US to withdraw from NATO and to end the imperialist expansionism that set the stage for this conflict.
(snip)
While the failures of neoliberal order are clear to everyone, the ruling class is trying to build a new world, through a dystopic transition grounded in militarism, imperialism, and war.”

LOL They'll simply attack us last, which is why it's better for us to have the Israelis and Ukrainians fight now.

We don't have to "meddle" or "provoke" other countries to be attacked. Countries or elites war for wounded pride or honor far more often than economic reasons. They fight for their own reasons, and thinking their reasoning is the same as ours is a fundamental misunderstanding Western democracies seem to be incapable of avoiding.

It doesn't matter if the war makes no sense to us as long as it makes sense to them. And any appeasement or negotiation just looks like weakness.

You could have said something similar over Ethiopia (slavery), Czechoslovakia (socialists), Poland (semi-fascists, antisemites), Belgium (collaborators), France (French), Britain (colonialists, snobs), Yugoslavia (ethnic conflict), Greece (more fascists), Korea (dictator, corruption), Taiwan (dictator, corruption), etc.

Its a stupid reason to dismiss a country.

If you haven’t noticed the Uke war has been dragging on for 1 1/2 years with perhaps 1 million deaths.

It’s time for peace now there and only illogical or bloodthirsty would disagree. Unfortunately in THIS country it’s the Dems and neocons that seem to want the killing to go on.

You dragging in the Mideast is odd as that’s not what this thread is about and the issues are not even remotely connected.

Seeing such talk I can’t help but recall this scene from this iconic movie.

I know more about your own country than you do. And the world in general. And I have done more for your country than you ever have, or will.

Call that arrogant, but that is always the case between knowledge and ignorance.

Ignorance is always resentful. That is one of the many curses of humanity. You demonstrate this daily.

No.

It’s because the 60s peace movement was a subversive plot by the USSR/Red China to weaken our war against them.

Now Russia is not communist so they don’t want anything but the profits and spreading the control of the deep state..

Things change.

You could have said the same or similar about any war ever.
Your position is a plain demand for a Russian victory, which will be a terrible result for the peace of the world.

Its all bad enough as it is.

And the current propaganda meme war is by USSR/Red China part II.

Both countries changed their ideological weapons, not their nature.

“ Your position is a plain demand for a Russian victory,”

I think negations should occur so a workable plan can be found that will ensure peace for both sides. Possibly it can be had without Ukraine losing any more territory, maybe even getting a little back…who knows?

As well as 100s of thousands of more young men dying (and getting permanently maimed) …isn’t that a victory for both sides?

Besides if Russia was to launch a massive offensive tomorrow and in a month or three Ukraine collapsed they could end up with nothing . Sure they might win and maybe Russia will collapse but is it worth the risks?

Yes..no? No one knows and if Russia collapses they might even launch nukes then we ALL lose. I don’t know that’s for sure.

LOL - you do not and have not, you silly foreigner. You sound like a six-year-old with an inferiority complex. 😂😂

In fact, it is quite likely I have seen and experienced more of the world than you have, but I don’t tend to believe that makes me superior to people. I don’t feel the need to boast about my rich experiences.

Call that arrogant, but that is always the case between knowledge and ignorance.

You sound vaxxed, boosted, masked and short. Nobody with any sense can take you seriously with your silly bloviating.

Run along, little foreigner. There are windows calling out for your tongue. 😂

Bwahahahahahaha! Your comment to me is so silly. All emotion and no logic. And certainly no relevance to what I said. Just some moronic whataboutism. I think maybe you’re one of the dumbest posters here.
