Yeah, Good seems pretty solid. And his opponent is a military guy. These days as crazy as it is, if someone in Congress comes from a military, FBI or CIA background, they start veering in the swamp direction.
Trump should have stayed out of this one.
Apparently not, ace.
Exhibit A: he hasn't beaten McGuire.
Funny how many FReepers criticize Good for once being a Never Trumper and how right Trump was to throw him under the bust.
And yet when Trump shortly picks a veep candidate who was also once a Never Trumper.... Why that’ll be fine. That’ll show wisdom and intelligence on Trump’s part.
blah blah blah
You equate political combat with “hurt feelings?”
Good abandoned decent common sense when he endorsed DeSantis. In the rough and tumble of politics, he bet on the wrong horse. It boils down to a matter of trust. Trump cannot trust Good.
“At what point is this still America First or is it just Trump First?”
Can you cite me an instance where a politician endorsed a candidate that endorsed the candidate’s opponent?
No you can’t. You are a liar and a die hard DeSantis-bot.
Get lost with this BS okay?
I’ve never heard of Bob Good and Trump can’t satisfy every little complainer like you over every little race in the country.
Who do you think you’re kidding? You don’t have faith in Trump because of your local candidate blah blah blah.
Bob Good can go straight to hell if he in any way diminishes Trump’s ability to save this country.
Now get over yourself.
Over Bob Good? It’s damn sure Trump first.
Good opposed Ukraine money. McGuire is endorsed by the ones who want to be all in for Ukraine. Never trust modern military alums, CIA, or FBI. They all fall into line for the war agenda.

I live in Bob Good’s district and met McGuire outside a Lynchburg Hillcats game Saturday night. I voted for McGuire.
One simple reason, Bob Good endorsed Ron DeSantis. This speaks to two things; really poor reading of political tea leaves when no one was going to beat Trump in the primaries this year, the fact that he could be another Republican that wouldn’t support a President in time of political need.
I really hated the choice, I truly did. Just like I hated my old Virginia district voting for Spanberger over Dave Brat. Virginia Congressional voting is strange indeed.

He’s also heavily supported by the Uke nuts in Congress.
“I wish Desantes didn’t cave on Ukraine in the first week.”
Really. Very bad form. It was in the first week and, IIRC, he did the ol’ switcheroo within 24 hours. Apparently, his handlers/ money men had a different path in mind.
Its just this simple. What is all the fuss about?
Unfortunately, Ron fell for the very first backstab ploy, to trust the handlers.
Hmmm, I always looked at it opposite. Anybody can be a Republican without being Conservative. But a Conservative is still a Conservative.
But Hell, words and names are just words and names subject to anybody's definition these days. I'm sure if the left and their fawning press set their minds to it, in a year or two, conservative would mean progressive. I'll stick to their actions and record. Actions are what counts.
“less than total loyalty will not and cannot be tolerated.”
Which makes me wonder if it’s true that Vance is really on his VP short list. The vicious things he said about Trump ... Sure, he making nice nice now, but a person’s core principles aren’t variable. I worry that he be another Pence — embedded by Deep State.
Ditto for Tim Scott, who strongly endorsed Murkowski who hates Trump.
McGuire is a loser.
I offer Rep. Thomas Massie as a perfect example of this. He has made a career out of railing against out-of-control federal spending, and has repeatedly demonstrated his standing as a “principled conservative” by voting against House bills that eventually pass with 400+ votes. But when he was in a position in 2023 to cast a decisive House committee vote on the Biden-McCarthy debt ceiling deal, he showed all the determination of a wet noodle and just caved.
“DeSantis did no such thing. He did not ‘cave’.”
You’re right. If someone caves, he simply gives in. RD did an abrupt and blatant flip-flop over to the dark side. It took him less than 24 hours.
