I am assuming this is semantics and they are bringing the electric vehicles back without fully charging them.

you have the option to pay extra when you originally rent and for a small fee you can bring it back empty if you want. But you are playing with fire bringing it back empty or drained.

I am sure Hertz has plenty of charging stations on site.

Penalizing customers for not returning their vehicles with a full charge is horrific customer relations.

I am assuming this is semantics and they are bringing the electric vehicles back without fully charging them.

From the article:

A customer returning their Tesla with 21% battery expected to pay a $25 fee for not charging. Instead they got hit with a $340.97 ‘Skip the Pump’ fee, “Hertz’s customer service was difficult to reach, and that it took making a ruckus on social media to get Hertz’s attention.”
...so instead of being charged $25 he was charged $340.97. Doesn't sound like semantics to me...
