A new investigation by CNN’s KFile team reveals that Trump VP hopeful and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance liked tweets calling the man he hopes to serve under “douchey,” accusing him of “serial sexual assault,” and even expressing an interest in working under his then-rival, Hillary Clinton.
Senator Vance is one of Donald Trump’s most effusive allies in Congress now, even earning himself a spot on Trump’s shortlist to be his running mate.
But this alliance is still a relatively new one. Back in 2016, he called himself a “Never Trump guy” and called Trump “reprehensible” and an “idiot.” In text messages to a friend, Vance even compared the Republican nominee to Adolf Hitler. Vance has since backpedaled, even designing his entire Senate campaign in 2022 — successfully — around securing Trump’s endorsement, rather than appealing directly to voters. But the KFILE investigation reveals that Vance’s disdain for Trump was even more pronounced than has been previously known.
From the KFILE report:
In February 2016, Vance liked a tweet featuring a photo of Trump, two women and O.J. Simpson with the caption, “Here is an old picture of one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs. Also in picture: OJ Simpson.”
Vance also liked tweets from August 2016 that praised his book and envisioned a role for him in a potential Clinton administration and another tweet suggesting he could provide Clinton with the “seeds to a plan to defeat Trump.” But Vance soon began liking several tweets with the hashtag #NeverHillary through October 2016.
While promoting his memoir and appearing on news programs in 2016, Vance liked a series of tweets calling then-candidate Trump a “monster” and a “nemesis of the GOP.” He also liked a tweet acknowledging “threats and derogatory terms Trump supporters hurl at Jews.” He even liked a tweet from CNN anchor Jake Tapper criticizing Trump’s tweet about a woman’s appearance amidst then-first lady Melania Trump’s campaign against cyberbullying
Among the other notable tweets that [Vance] liked were ones that “Does any dad (or future dad) want to look his daughter in the eye and explain why he voted for Trump instead of 1st woman president?” and “Maybe the Central Park 5 could take out a full-page ad to condemn the coddling of thug real estate barons who commit serial sexual assault.”
The new revelations about Vance’s hatred for Trump — and affinity for Clinton — could hurt his stock in the veepstakes. But then again, his transformation goes to show just how submissive a partner Vance might make for on the ticket.
Navarro
Another intel cutout.
To be honest, I hadn't thought of her until Macho MAGA Man put her name out. IMHO, the fact that she's been OUT of politics for over a decade HELPS her resume. And I believe she's been divorced over all the hoopla the left put her through years ago -- less worry about the left causing collateral damage as with a married person.
Just curious as to how anyone could be so blind?
i would demand and make him explain...
then you’ ll see what the excuses are or even lies for that matter
Why Nunes? That’s the first time I’ve heard his name in this context. He doesn’t seem to have been super-successful growing Truth Social.
Looks like another hit piece posted by one of our newer trolls.
Liked/commented on immediately by another of that sort.
“They” hate Vnce which makes him No 1 in my book.
I too voted for Donald Trump in 2016, but I wanted Ben Carson to be the Republican nominee for president.
Hahahahaha...they pollute FR with articles from, of all places, Mediaite.
Mediaite.
I am surprised he doesn’t post notices from the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Maybe this poster is one of those being thrown over the side over there in their effort to keep money in the pockets of the founders.
Of course, if you follow the posting history of this person, you can see exactly what he is all about, and it isn’t good.
Vance scares them.
In 2016 the only person who liked Trump was as Ann Coulter.
I was still under the impression that the communists killed Kennedy / Israel was our greatest ally / Iraq had WMD / increasing GDP was the biggest role of the government / etc...
I believed that the battle was between Conservatives and Liberals and not Globalists and Nationalists.
You have to admit that Trump is kind of a clown (but a good clown). Cruz was serious and had taken on McConnel in the Senate. He was a known entity. Trump was a celebrity wild-card that I didn’t trust. I still like Cruz but not as much as I did in early 2016.
I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. I thoroughly distrust people who don’t.
This is why I appreciate Tucker so much. He is the same way.
Merely not liking him is not the equivalent of calling him
“one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs.”
As Jesse Jackass would say...”beware wolfn’s”
Lotsa people did that. Maybe they were thinking of Trump when he was a Democrat.
Listen most likely most GOP elitists in 2016 could not stand Trump he’s a populist, many in the GOP did not like that but I think many of them turned around and realized he was right all along
Vance is a terrible choice.
That’s my thought as well. Not saying I think he’s ideal for VP, but before I crucify the man I’d like to hear his explanation first. Been a lot of water run under that bridge since even two years ago, and that’s changed a lot of minds of late.
“ Spied on a candidate for President
Had the intelligence community use “six ways from Sunday” to target the sitting President
Created a bioweapon which was released on the American people
Suspended the Constituion, locked down the people and transferred billions of dollars from the middle class to the elites
Stole an election
Impeached a President for no reason
Attempted to imprison a former President…”
That is what I don’t understand.
How can anyone not have seen that coming?
What had the government or any politician done for the country or to uphold the constitution prior to that?
McCain was ridiculous then gave away the election, quitting a month prior. Romney gave Obama the presidency and had that awful Paul Ryan as VP
Bush made everybody crazy with his piss poor decision making and his father’s staff running things. His father hated Reagan. The Clinton’s were in charge from Jan 1991. And still are to some extent
Trump was a builder. A citizen and from a good family with business wisdom form experience, family history, and an Ivy League legit education- Wharton a no kidding business school not the Harvard Yale of the Kennedy, Cuomo, bush, Clinton, Obama’s
He built and renovated all over NYC without any reputation of cheating, stealing, white collar crime, no mafia
He had many accomplishments and love of country. He regularly came on Hannity and the savage shows talking about pres candidates. He was very vocal and helpful after 9/11. He was very wary of Obama
What could anyone ever find wrong with him.
I still don’t get it.
