Wednesday’s annual Congressional Baseball Game for Charity was disrupted when a group of protesters stormed the field to make a political statement about the alleged climate doomsday.
The game which raises money for local charities pits members of the House and Senate against each other in an event that has been a cherished local tradition for over a century, with fans who turned out to watch the action at Nationals Stadium having their enjoyment briefly interrupted by the left-wing activists.
In the early stages of the contest, the group of protesters who were wearing white shirts reading “End Fossil Fuels” jumped the railing and bolted onto the playing field, carrying signs that said “Stop playing games with our future,” running around like fools until they were subdued.
In the video of the interruption, police are seen tackling the troublemakers before they were hauled off and play resumed. Eight people were arrested.
The Washington, D.C.-based Climate Defiance took credit for the incident.

Given the history I would of had snipers at the game and opened fire! That’s how you stop these actions! We have the right to peaceful protest, not storm an event for unknown reasons. Remember 2017 and shoot next time! End of problem……

Absolutely correct. I can’t believe protesters could get anywhere near the field after 2017. There was security around the ballpark that day and they were alert and able to contain it and called immediately for help from surrounding fire houses etc. The players themselves did a good job of helping the wounded Congressman Scalise off the field. They had to be very cautious at revealing themselves as no one knew where the gunman was. His book about the ordeal is amazing...he dragged himself across the dirt field to the grass leaving a trail of blood. Long painful recovery but he made it...

I had lunch with my nephew yesterday. He and his wife were staying at The Homestead Resort the same weeken a massive Republican Fundraiser was being held. The Speaker was attending. He said there was HUGE security there.
Why isn’t the same level of security used at this ball game?
