Last October, when Kevin McCarthy was ousted as speaker of the house, one Republican of the eight who voted against him stood out as the odd bedfellow of the group: a junior representative from South Carolina named Nancy Mace.
The seven other Republicans, all men, were far-right rabble-rousers, loudmouths for whom grousing about the “establishment” rather than working with it was always the right political move. They were used to attracting and capitalizing on press attention. Yet in the days that followed McCarthy’s ouster, Mace outshone them all, showing up for work in a shirt with a red A on the front, a nod to the titular symbol in The Scarlet Letter.
Her staff, still picking up the pieces from Mace’s bombshell vote against McCarthy the previous week, was completely baffled.
“I thought it was just some fashion statement,” one staffer recalled. “I was like, OK, well, maybe this is an Abercrombie shirt or something.” Only after seeing Mace on camera at a meeting of House Republicans—swarmed by reporters—did the staffer put it together: The scarlet-letter outfit “was another attempt by her to be a part of the story.”
Or, as a second staffer remembered, it was an attempt to become the star of the story: “She wanted every single person to think—when they thought of the McCarthy ouster vote, not to think of the eight, but to think of Nancy Mace,” the staffer said.
In her own explanation for the scarlet letter that day, Mace lamented that she had been “demonized for my vote and for my voice” and would “do the right thing every single time, no matter the consequences.”

“No, I don’t believe anything politico has to say. “
Not Politico
Mace is a prima donna like so many people in politics, but she fights.
And in October, Mace was the lone South Carolina Republican to join congressional Democrats in voting to hold former Trump White House senior aide Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena issued by the House select committee investigating the riot at the Capitol.
Has Politico ever referred to any democrat as a “far-left rabble-rouser” or a “loudmouth”? Not that I know of.
Don't bother to answer because I know the Left claims it's KKK or Nazis etc. They are awful people, but they are also totalitarians with their beliefs in government control.
As a volunteer Minuteman when that effort was on-going, I was called a "far right" Nazi just because I wanted to maintain our borders and follow the original ideology of our Constitution...which has been a benefit to the nations that adopted it. Too bad we didn't manage to keep those ideals. Benjamin Franklin warned us, "It's a Republic if you can keep it". We didn't.
As have thousands of others. Reagan was once a democrat. Try something new…she is pro-Trump and MAGA.

Sometimes "grousing" about the Establishment is the right move.
And who's to say that Mace or the others are any more narcissistic and attention-grabbing than Schiff, Swalwell, Raskin, AOC, Tlaib or Omar?
My congress rep, Nancy Mace the disgrace is a psycho. She staged a fake hate crime, a la Jussie, by spray painting Antifa graffiti on her house during her first campaign. I can’t stand her lying face.
The AWAKENING of Nancy Mace
She’s another one that needs to be forced back into bar tending and/or waiting tables for a living!
Where are all the decent CONSERVATIVE Women in politics?
Yeesh!
She voted to hold Bannon in contempt. To hell with her.
“Mace championed exceptions to an abortion ban for victims of rape and incest.”
That makes her a Pro abort?
While I oppose all exceptions except for the LIFE of the mother (If SHE chooses).
“Eighty-six percent of Americans of all parties think a pregnant woman should be able to legally have an abortion if she becomes pregnant because of rape or incest”
Are 86% of Americans Pro abortion?
The TRUTH shall set you free.
“I am the Way, the TRUTH, and the Life...”
Exaggerations are still lies.
My point is that I’m not going to suddenly defend or like a never-Trump, pro-choice, anti-2A, RINO just because Politico wrote something negative about her.
Eighty-six percent of Americans of all parties think a pregnant woman should be able to legally have an abortion if she becomes pregnant because of rape or incest, the PORES/SurveyMonkey survey found. That includes 94 % of Democrats, 88 % of independents and 76 % of Republicans.

Nearly three-quarters of adults (73%) say abortion should be legal if the woman’s life or health is endangered by the pregnancy, while just 11% say it should be illegal. And about seven-in-ten say abortion should be legal if the pregnancy is a result of rape, with just 15% saying it should be illegal in this case.

And we should recognize her achievements as a legislator...for example, Nancy was awarded the "Milkers Of The Year Award" in 2022 for best rack in Congress!
Like I said, better than her alternative.
Brava!
¡Que linda!
For an antidote to liberal media drivel, and to get the facts about Mace and her district, read this:
Kevin McCarthy is trying to take out Nancy Mace.
And we have FReepers who's angry that she's pro-choice.
Look at the big picture, guys!
