THIS is the leadership that’s needed in EVERY state.
Before we rejoice, we might want to remember that the vast majority of the 2016 & 2020 election “issues” occurred in blue or now blue states.
I pretty sure the politicians in the blue states have little to no interest in making changes that would result in them losing their power . . .
Especially the swing states.
Matt Walsh is famous for holding the contrarian position that we need FEWER voters, not more. I agree when he contends that most people are far too stupid on the issues, civics and candidates to vote. The hurdles that need to be cleared to vote should be MASSIVE.
All true, but we have to start fighting the battle on every possible front.
We just need to turn a few purple states red - NV, GA, AZ, MI, possibly PA, WI, maybe even NH.
Then those states can adopt these laws. It’s great that LA is setting the precedent.
God is in control.
I have little to no hope for the Republican party but some of these governors are keeping the hope alive. Governor DeSantis of Florida, Governor Landry of Louisiana, Governor Sanders of Arkansas and a few others are doing good things when it comes to election integrity.

Hell, Pennsylvania ain’t really Blue. It had a Republican legislature that kind of allowed some stuff and was then railroaded by its state courts
Wisconsin is one or two seats(Madison, Milwlaukee, Appleton areas …. Along with some bona fide RINOs) of having veto proof Republican majorities.
While there are a few Blue States, maybe 3 or 4, but there are Blue Citiea that use the fraud to run over the electorate, sadly. Even California, Illinois and NY would be RED if they laws like that
No but the Federal government could pass voter integrity laws for federal elections.
My son, who is 23 is far more “selective” than I am, but he thinks we should go back to pre-women voting laws. Hah!
Personally, I would just prefer that, unless you are out of the country, you vote on voting day and IN PERSON. After you vote, you get the old Iraqi purple thumb to show that you voted.
And may bring Leviticus-type punishment to pedo’s.

Not to belabor the point, but if women were suddenly denied the right to vote, we’d lurch so far right so fast that we’d suffer collective whiplash nationally.
Make voting age 21 and you’d really see a massive change. (personally, I’d love to see voting age raised to 24.)
I am fairly certain the Founders of this nation would be astounded at the idea that voting only require a) citizenship and b) ability to fog a mirror. And even the latter is often optional.
If you are dependent on your fellow citizens for your existence, you shouldn’t have a say in how your government is run.

Incorrect. Well, technically it is correct for the next few months and then those GOP majorities get blown entirely out of the water.
The new Democrat Wisconsin Supreme Court demanded new Democrat-gerrymandered maps for 2024 for the state House and state Senate. If things work out *exactly* as expected, the Democrats will take control of both chambers by the slimmest of margins in November.
Goodbye GOP “supermajorities”, and goodbye to a GOP majority of ANY kind in Wisconsin. Things don’t always go exactly as designed, at least for Republicans, but the Rats worked very hard on these gerrymanders and the best case is the Republicans hanging on by the skin of their teeth. Don’t count on that outcome though.
Similarly, the final impact of the Democrat legislative gerrymander in Pennsylvania (that “not really blue” state which actually is pretty damn blue) will likely be felt in November when Democrats seize control of the state Senate by picking up exactly the 3 seats they need to take 100% control of the entire state government. Hopefully the GOP can retain at least 1 of their 3 highly endangered seats and thereby retain control, such “control” as it is when so many Republicans are RINOs and vote with the Rats on many key issues.
You should be proud you raised such a smart young man.
