Matt Walsh is famous for holding the contrarian position that we need FEWER voters, not more. I agree when he contends that most people are far too stupid on the issues, civics and candidates to vote. The hurdles that need to be cleared to vote should be MASSIVE.
My son, who is 23 is far more “selective” than I am, but he thinks we should go back to pre-women voting laws. Hah!
Personally, I would just prefer that, unless you are out of the country, you vote on voting day and IN PERSON. After you vote, you get the old Iraqi purple thumb to show that you voted.
I am fairly certain the Founders of this nation would be astounded at the idea that voting only require a) citizenship and b) ability to fog a mirror. And even the latter is often optional.
If you are dependent on your fellow citizens for your existence, you shouldn’t have a say in how your government is run.
