While there are a lot of choices, the early betting is on a Capitol Hill firebrand uniquely poised to bring in the libertarian wing of the GOP, which could provide a bump of 3% to 4% of the vote.
“There are only two realistic GOP nominees: Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis,” Since neither is likely to pick the other as a running mate, the adviser offered libertarian Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) as a good fit.

Said a little differently, the Takers outnumber the Makers.
The sheeple are many.
I wholly endorse that idea. McTurtle HAS to go. A whole host of ‘GOP’ Congressmen and Senators need to go - at least stripped of their congressional powers.
In speaking to hostile libertarians Trump is crazy like a fox. All you have to do is look at the democrats who have won down-ticket races solely because of the presence of a libertarian on the ballot. Their 3% can be devastating.
Trump will successfully peel off some of them-a whole lot more with Rand. You go with your strengths rather than reaching out to those that will stay unconvinced.
Blacks and Jews will come along because of Biden.
“balances in the the USS and USHOR”
Fighting for middle class income and real property tax caps now in Congress would add the electors of several deep blue states to Trump’s total and make Congress turn deep red come November, with the middle class being defined as persons having income in the range of federal civil servants.
Taxes could be raised to pay for wars and economic recovery by cutting top-end federal pay, which as you can imagine would only happen in cases of genuine need.
As for high income people, those with true skills like doctors could negotiate their taxation. As for lawyers, let the leftist legislators take as much as they want above the middle-class top.
Why would we want a pro-immigration social liberal to be placed in the best position for the presidency of 2028?
Sounds like the perfect swamp draino

I don’t know if the people who suggest using active Senators and Congressmen on here are ignorant to what they are after or plants from the dems.
It’s incredibly stupid.
No you don't.
But if you knew that then why did you claim it comes on the heels of Trump's speech at the Libertarian Party?
That was a deceitful statement. The truth would have been to state that I am presenting this old article on the heels of of Trump's speech to the Libertarian Party because I support Rand Paul as becoming Trump's pick as VP and I wanted to use this as an introduction into this topic.
Rand Paul, a U.S. Senator from Kentucky, has never run as a Libertarian candidate. He has run as a Republican candidate in various elections, including his successful campaigns for the U.S. Senate in 2010 and 2016, and for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
Although Rand Paul has been described as a libertarian-leaning politician, he has not run under the Libertarian Party banner. His father, Ron Paul, a former U.S. Representative from Texas as a Republican then in 1987 as a Libertarian, ran for President as the Libertarian's candidate in 1988 and then switched back to the Republican Party in 1996 ran for president as a Republican Party candidate in 2008 and again in 2012. In 2015 he switched back to the Libertarian Party where he remains to this day.
It's a Libertarian wet dream that Rand Paul is considered as a Libertarian based solely upon his father's affiliation with them.
I have a lot of respect for Rand Paul. At some point in time he may actually be a wonderful consideration, but like his father, he does not garner much support from places or people beyond his home state, but he is beginning to make inroads, and in time it may increase to the point where his acceptance reaches a point where he can be considered as a viable candidate for higher office. He did after all win a Senate race and entered politics at a higher office than his father ever obtained.
Oh man! You’re too much. I don’t take anything serious enough to write a letter that long to someone I don’t know.
Lefty’s look all the time for the littlest opening to over react. Sad to see it here. I’ll continue to rub people the wrong way. We all do from time to time.
I’ll pray for you. 🙏
*Why would we want a pro-immigration social liberal to be placed in the best position for the presidency of 2028?*
Good question. I say give Trump 4 years to deport the bad ones. We just may need the good but not that many. Rand would not open the floodgates.
Wow, you are openly a pro-mass immigration guy, no wonder you go for this social liberal-pro immigration libertarian stuff.
We need to end all immigration, not continue this mass replacement war against Americans that we have been in for 60 years.
*I’ll pray for you. 🙏*
Please don’t.

It doesn’t mean we need the 60 million who have been aborted even though that would be better. The ‘65 Kennedy bill-prior to that it was people escaping tyranny. Now it’s way different. We can still pick and choose who we let in. The Vietnamese were a net plus. So were the Mariel Cubans believe it or not.
Won't be easy to get rid of him. The Chinese have too much invested in him to let him ride off into the sunset. A bought and paid for minority leader is a valuable commodity to team with the bought and paid for elements in the majority party.
Nor am I a pro-mass migration proponent. I am a solid America first proponent who supports Donald John Trump. But keep flailing away aimlessly.
We need to end all immigration, not continue this mass replacement war against Americans that we have been in for 60 years.
See we have more in common then we realized.
