Rand Paul is and has been my number one choice for VP. God forbid something happened to Trump I could sleep at night knowing Rand Paul would be competent.

Hopefully DJT is thinking “outside the box” by not considering either current Senators or Congressmen to avoid affecting the balances in the the USS and USHOR.
While the odds are the most “qualified” candidate (just based on statistics) is an old, white guy. Unfortunately, today optics seem to be more important than capabilities.
Maybe DJT will get lucky with a pick that is the most qualified, staunch conservative, can work like a pitbull and fills the optics requirement . . .
At this point I'd about rather Trump pick his VP and entire cabinet randomly from the masses.

I think being Vice President would round out Scott as he would be in the Senate chamber and have to listen to all Senate debates.
