You know how Google's new feature called AI Overviews is prone to spitting out wildly incorrect answers to search queries? In one instance, AI Overviews told a user to use glue on pizza to make sure the cheese won't slide off (pssst...please don't do this.)

OK, so which is worse: giving the nuclear button to an AI that tells you complete falsehoods or giving it to Joe Biden? Maybe I should ask ChatGPT...
NVidia announced a demo download of a new local Chatbot AI for your PC. You can train it with files on your computer and then use a basic GUI to interact with it.
It requires an NVidia RTX 3000 or 4000 series GPU.
Download here: NVidia ChatRTXM.
I downloaded it, but haven't installed it.

Okay. Then shut Google down. They are obviously incompetent.
I think the problem is that they've been on it all along.

So it will help find things, and maybe produce summaries, etc. from your computer.
With Multiple Terabytes of storage, this could be useful.
But the stuff I have saved and produced on my computer would be considered biased. Well, good. And I’d better download a few Bible copies for this AI to find and incorporate.
Hmmm. Now I think I recall that one day, Google offered a utility to search, Google-style, on your own computer. (I looked for it one day, gone.) This might be an evolution of that.

Still, I was also thinking that I should turn off Wifi when doing it, just to be sure.

Turn off wi fi
It could get into my cache and cookies and bookmarks, and cruise out onto the web to those places. Whee.
And it might get into FR. Whoopeeee!
He posted the title exactly as he found it at the source which is the protocol REQUIRED to post threads on FR, Karen.
Why not, that's what they do at Little Ceaser's, right?
Has anyone compared the different AI possibilities? Lately I’ve been using this one... seems to work reasonably well but I’d be interested in hearing about the experience of others. https://www.perplexity.ai/
