I have been posting here for over 20 years, and have managed to do it without emojis. Occasionally a /sarc tag might have been useful, but even that tends ti ruin the joke. I admit I might be more long-winded than other freepers. I have also managed to avoid the use of emojis in other boards. Their use was deprecated in the original online style guide, though it may have been since revised.
Sometimes someone has to represent well.
Even here there camn be, and are, ambiguities in text.
And FR isn’t two people discussing a first date, either.
