I have to ask... Why?

I am guessing an 8cyl is going to add a LOT of weight.

For an already large bike, that may help to make the center of gravity lower for 2 Up full bags.

But, IMO, it is likely to make stopping and cornering quite a bit less nimble and responsive.

And also, as a tourer, I have to guess that this is going to be VERY thirsty. Range will likely be quite a bit less and a good 4cyl.

Because you can. And ‘Cuz I want it. And ‘Cuz it’s stupid, expensive and I CAN. IS 100% enough to make or buy one.

It would just not be for me.

I like my Harley Fat Bob for long hauls. It delivers 49 MPG on the freeway. For medium commutes, the Kawasaki Versys delivers 53 MPG on the freeway. For putting around town, I have a Yamaha SR400 delivering 66 MPG on regular gas. The Suzuki DR650 delivers 55 MPG on regular gas. A big, heavy bike is only desirable when traveling in places with strong wind gusts that would knock a lighter bike around with ease.
