A mother in Atlanta disrupted an awards ceremony at her son's school after he did not receive any prizes.
She stood up in middle of the event and walked up to the front of the stage before ranting after her child did not win anything.
The person presenting the award was forced to apologize to those in attendance and tried to de-escalate the situation.
The incident was caught on video and shared to X where it has been viewed more than 500,000 times.
In the clip, the mother is heard shouting at the person who is presenting the awards but it is not clear what she is saying.
'Ladies and gentlemen I apologize for what we're seeing right now,' the school employee says before the women shouts even more.
'I'll talk to you,' he says in a bid to get her to calm down. 'Momma, we can look at it again.'
The mother then shouts 'let's go' at her son and he is seen following her outside of the assembly hall.
The school official then apologizes to the crowd again for the disturbance caused.

Will Smith’s momma?
Emcee is lucky he was up onstage, out of her reach.
What? No participation trophy?
He may have been able to win an “I didn’t kill my teacher this year” award...
I hope he has a wonderful extended family mom really needs some help.
Never a doubt! They make it easy to guess who.
Only those who participate get a participation award…. 🤣
We need Barbara billingsly to help translate all that jive.
It’s them again, Yogi.
My initial presumption was immediately proven correct. Just an “odds are” presumption.
It doesn’t look like a lot of kids there.
does the whole class or skewl have to show up on awards night ?
I wish I could go to that woman & explain to her that I probably never won any awards as a kid & it could be that I never had any coming. My mom never put on an act like this one did either. If she had, I might still be trying to hide ever time the sun came up. I guess I never got any awards because there were only so many & maybe I wasn’t that outstanding. I never made Honor Society either.
Couldn’t she just be happy putting a “My Kid Beat Up Your Honor Student” bumper sticker on her car?
Poor kid will have to deal with being teased about that till he graduates.

Yogi? Is it them again?
Them yet again.
I think calling the woman a mom is misleading. Her kid probably doesn’t say hey mom he probably says hey mama. She may be his mother. Mom is one of those words like teen and youth that are used to euphemistically inform the reader about the racial origin of the participants.
Tommy Sotomayor is going to have fun with this.
