One person has died and 30 more people are injured as a Boeing 777-300ER flying from London to Singapore plunged some 7,000 feet in six minutes while encountering severe turbulence.
Source with video From inside plane as it was happening
Makes me nauseous just watching it

The fact that it was Boeing is irrelevant.
Any aircraft can run into turbulent weather...........
Could just as easily happen to an Airbus...
Scary to hit an air pocket like that or just plain CAT (if that’s what it was)
“…plunged some 7,000 feet in six minutes”
“Plunged”? That’s a slow landing descent rate. Normal, landing descent rates are 2,500 to 4,000 fpm.
The Chinese are paying off Boeing workers and execs to tank the company, just in time for the Chinese to introduce a competitor. This is my guess.
My seat belt stays on at all times except the run to the bathroom
Per the above, the seat belt light came on right before the turbulence hit. At least one person had time enough to buckle up. Did some unbuckled folks just refuse to pay attention and buckle up?

*7 PASSENGERS IN CRITICAL CONDITION IN SINGAPORE AIR INCIDENT
*23 PASSENGERS, 1 CREW MEMBER SUSTAINED MODERATE INJURIES
*1 PASSENGER KILLED, SUSPECTED HEART ATTACK IN FLIGHT INCIDENT
My guess is most of the injuries happened to people waiting to use the water closet
What injures people? Being thrown in the plane, or having baggage dropped on their heads?
Haven’t passengers figured out how important it is to keep your seatbelt fastened at all times?

++++++++++
Sure makes it sound bad though. Urinalists doing what they do - sensationalize.
More on the gentleman who died, 73 YO suspected heart attack...

That or they are really dumb, bad at math, and don’t understand anything about aviation.
We hit an air pocket over the Atlantic...trays went flying, screams all arou d, and my kneez didn’t stop shaking til we touched down i. England.
Dang...and I bet I saw the person that died. The guy in the aisle that had both feet on the floor until he didn’t? Went straight up into the ceiling and dropped back down. Like Goose bailing out into the canopy in Top Gun.
I would think that this is a good case for always keep your seatbelts fastened. I always did when flying anywhere.
