Given the bias of this judge for the prosecution and his overt antipathy for the defendant, Donald Trump, what explains his willing destruction of his own reputation as a justice?
Given what we know about what has been going on in Justice Juan Merchan’s Manhattan courtroom, including the preposterous, over-the-top bias of this judge for the prosecution and his overt antipathy for the defendant, Donald Trump, what explains his willing destruction of his own reputation as a judge?
Each and every legal scholar who has weighed in on the course of the trial, from Alan Dershowitz to Jonathan Turley and countless others, (with the exception of those paid by CNN and MSNBC) is gobsmacked by Merchan’s thoroughly unconstitutional rulings, gag orders, contempt charges, exclusion of practically every witness with relevant testimony for the defense, and his allowance of non-relevant witnesses like Stormy Daniels. He allowed her testimony, too, even though she knew nothing about the issue being tried, to spew her pornographic filth that could only come from the mouth of a porn star actress.
We’ve known for years now that our judicial system has been corrupted, transformed into an extension of the Democrat party by President Obama and Joe Biden, but Justice Merchan has taken their unscrupulousness to a wholly new and shocking level.
To start, he is a campaign donor to Joe Biden, which according to the New York Times, is literally against the law:
Political contributions of any kind are prohibited under state judicial ethics rules.
The Times reported that he got off with a "caution" for his contempt for the law and open willingness to break it.
Now the other conflicts of interest come out which raises this question: Could it be that Merchan has been bought off, paid enough money to sabotoge his own career...

The ends justify the means...
This concept gives him an out. No it is all him personally, no outside influences required.
“Justice”. LOL!
What if??
🙃
Blackmailed pedophile who was probably a frequent guest of Epstein is my guess. He wears eyeliner in a courtroom for chrissakes.
As is true of most leftists, Merchan is willing to sacrifice his reputation and integrity if it helps advance the party’s power and control.
It’s no accident that Adam Schitt is somewhere in this whole thing
He wrote this script
If he is or if he isn’t, he is still a lousy judge and should be deep 6’d (gotten rid of) career wise.
plata o plomo
It’s not like his own family got $$$$$$/paid
for his attacks on the C-I-C.

Seems Merchan is being paid big buck to drag this trial out..
I think that is most likely also.
That said, he has family here and presumably, back home in Colombia. Could he or any of those family be under threat of death for him not acting as he has been? It seems obvious that this will be successfully appealed at some higher level, but lets assume the goal is exactly what is happening, tying up Trump’s schedule for campaigning then jailing him upon conviction or otherwise restricting him to the immediate area while awaiting a year or two of appeals.
Is there no higher court relief possible for this outrage before us? If the population of Trump supporters and those just outraged at this miscarriage of justice respond en masse, with civil disobedience, can THEN a higher court step in? Even if it it unprecedented and extraordinary for them to do so? And if yes, why the heck can’t they do it BEFORE civil unrest occurs?

This is a rhetorical question right?
Watching Merchan is like watching a bought umpire throw a game...
We’ll be asking that question years after Trump has been found guilty in this case.
Civil unrest!? lol. Only when people have everything taken from them and they have nothing left to lose will anyone lift a finger. We’re victims of our own success. The gradual lowering of our standard of living won’t be noticed for a while. And even then many will find their situation livable. Figure out why there isn’t “civil unrest” in places like Cuba or the Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea.
