Several casino’s have refused to pay out on large machine winnings due to a “technical” glitch.
Lady, ever since the casinos have networked these things and had them centrally monitored and controlled, whatever you get is totally up to the casino. Nothing to do with chance anymore.
They pay out 94.7% of the dollars played, not spins.
So, for every $100, they pay out $94.70. But that is usually across just a couple of jackpots. Most everyone who spins the wheel loses. And you will lose over time.
The best thing to do with slots is limit your play; maximize your per spin bets; and leave right after you hit for more than you brought in. It’s when you keep putting more money in that you lose big.
I assume she kept the gold coins that the machine dispensed. Plus, there were witnesses. Hope she got their names.
A “technical glitch” seems like it ought to be on the casino.
There’s no real “chance” with slots any more. All the machines are controlled by computer programs. That’s why they know it’s a glitch when it hit - the computer was supposed to keep that from happening.
You used to see this sort of thing happening more often in the Indian casinos. A little bit surprised to see the complaint at a Bally’s.
Is it ever a technical glitch when the player loses? Have they ever gone though the logs and found they owe someone money and actually payed?
The gold coins don’t come out of the machine. It’s a video screen.
Nothing comes out of the machines. Not for a long, long time.
Pay up. Tired of reading how casinos play games when they lose big.
You used to be able to make some money on the nickle machines. Then they expected you to enjoy your small wins enough to move over to the quarter machines so they could get it all back over the rest of the evening.
I quit playing slots when they did away with spitting out coins and just giving you an electronic receipt to take back to the cashier.
I’ve never had a problem bringing my phone to any AC casino, Vegas either. But i haven’t ever tried to take a picture. Unless Tropicana got rid of the Wheel of Fortune game, they’ve had it there for years, so Bally’s may be lying about being the only casino that has it.
That’s when I quit playing slots, too. Just wasn’t the same without the actual coins.
Malfunction voids all plays and pays.
I was playing the nickel slots on a cruise ship when I was twelve. Won so many nickels my pockets on my polyester pants wouldn’t stay up!
Yes 12 was legal on a cruise ship!!
I think she has a valid point. There were plenty of witnesses that can validate her claim. Sue them for 10 million, and watch how quickly they settle for less.
If I was on the jury I would give her 10 MILLION! for trying to rip her off!
Cameras are really tiny these days. I mean REALLY tiny.
(Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more!)

Numbers lie......that’s probably not even close to the 17% they’re required to give back.
I believe a person who was in the exact same situation sued....and won the tilted jackpot.
Those games are rigged. They never pay out when people win anymore. Its a computer, theres nothing mechanical going on inside to tilt it.
She’s dropping a grand per visit, and she’s worried about her “homeless son”?
