The NFL is disgusting. A large percentage the NFL has ‘rap sheets’,,,,,yet they distance themselves from an outstanding speech like Butker’s.

The NFL is shameless.

I divorced the NFL when players started kneeling at the National Anthem. This just confirms the wisdom of my decision.

Hey NFL, I love football. Played. Not pro but played.

I’m a Browns and Cowboys fan.

Or used to be. Now think I’m dumping you jerks.

Got a hunch I’m not the only one dumping you, NFL idiots.

I watched part of the speech, he was giving it at a private Catholic College and he is Catholic himself. I saw nothing wrong with what he said. Why is this even controversial?

I do not understand why certain people are so offended by these comments.

He said some things about men being responsible, and being masculine.

He said some things to the women students, that the greatest gratification they will find in their lives, is not going to be jobs and careers, but rather marriage and family in their future.

I understand there’s lots of people nowadays are pushing women in careers ,and being astronauts or anything they want in a career.

But why is there a leftist meltdown about these sorts of comments? What the heck is offensive about any of this?

But here’s another example of how cancel culture really exists. Sometimes liberals say that cancel culture is a figment of conservatives imagination.

Gee, it’s not like Harrison gave his speech in the chief’s uniform.... on the sidelines...during a game.
After all who does he think he is Colin Kaerpenik!

He was uplifting the things that are part of the foundation of a normal and healthy society: respect for life at all of its stages, the obviously different, complementary, and equally-important roles played by the sexes, and home and family. The Left always uplifts the abnormal and the unhealthy things that corrode and eventually destroy people and society. Always. But, the way things have been going, we are likely to find that out the hard way.

Hw spoke as a Christian humanist, a Catholic espousing Catholic values at a Catholic college. I’ll bet he has read Chesterton. The NFL says he doesn’t speak for them. Enough said.

The point is that the population collapse that I was writing about nearly 20 years ago, and that Philip Longman was writing about in Foreign Affairs even before that, has now become obvious to everyone. We’re headed for the biggest global population drop since the Black Death, and that’s going to produce dramatic social changes. (As indeed did the Black Death.)

The future does belong to those who show up, and those who show up are likely to have the attitudes that caused them to do so. So is Harrison Butker a harbinger? Quite probably.
