Jimmy Carter's grandson has revealed the 99-year-old former president is 'coming to the end'.
The Georgia peanut farmer and oldest living president has been in hospice care for more than a year after deciding to forego any further medical treatment.
Since then his beloved wife Rosalynn has passed away and he has been living at home with regular visits from his family.
Jason Carter said at a mental health forum on Tuesday: '(My grandfather) is doing OK.
'He has been in hospice, as you know, for almost a year and a half now, and he really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end and I think he has been there in that space.'

I think Obama is the worst of the three.
Biden is not in control, and if you aren’t in control, you can’t be personally responsible. I doubt Obama was making all his own decisions, but I think he had a basic ability to understand the decisions being made in his name.
Lester Maddox said that Carter was the most dishonest man he ever met. Lester despite the racial past was a quite good governor for the GA people.
That's fine if you own your own home. My second-oldest sister had previously owned homes, but was living in an apartment when she went into hospice care on July 1st, 2011. I lived 2 1/2 hours away, and was staying at her apartment during her illness so I could visit her. I had to clear her apartment out, and be out myself by the end of August when her lease expired. She passed away in the home on September 2nd...her birthday. The nurse administrator told me that there had been instances where people were told they would have to leave the home because they had reach their time limit, and in several cases, the person died the next day. She believed it was because they didn't want to have to leave.
I never knew there were anti-Semites in such big numbers until this administration seized power. I don’t think I personally know any anti-Semites.
Ford may have been better than Nixon and Kennedy as well.
I wouldn’t have minded having Ford as a neighbor—Reagan would have been great—and after that I’d probably pick Carter over anyone since Ike. I think Trump was a better president, but I’d rather have Ford or Carter as neighbors.
I’m an introvert.
Joe will be looking at his watch during the eulogy.
He must feel like he is passing the torch to the younger generation of Joe Biden.
Last time Joe said "Mickey's left leg has been a little slow lately. I was just checking."

Can he take Biden with him ?
I shudder to think there is anyone worse than
1) Barry
2) Jimmy
3) anyone else...
Like most Democrats, Jimmy Carter is a snake. I will do a dance when he passes
I a m pretty sure he is set up at home. Once on hospice there really isn’t a need for any type of serious medical equipment.
That's a lie. Carter is responsible for affecting the Israel-Egyptian peace accord, which stands to this day. Yes, Carter was opposed to Israel's occupation of the West Bank but only an Uncle Leo would characterize that as hating Jews.
Congress is attempting to pass an anti-Semitic hate Bill which will make it a crime to criticize Jews. This would be unconstitutional. Read the 1st amendment. Carter may have had views on Israel that many Jews dislike but that doesn't make him a Jew hater.
I think Carter has enough resources to bring in a hospital bed. I would imagine they have 24 hour help.
But they don’t need monitors or emergency resuscitation equipment. Hospice is the epitome of a “DNR.”
I cannot imagine him in any kind of facility.
I miss Billy Beer.....
Once on hospice, no more hospital visits. He would be at home with a hospital bed and other medical devices at home day and night. He has hospice aides 24 hours to help and he can probably afford a full time nursing presence. I never did dislike Jimmah. And I too am happy that he’s not dying as the worst president. Obama/Biden administration works from the depths of hell.
Not history, but the people who write history will paint Jimmy Carter in a much better light than he has earned.
Can’t the amphibious rabbits attack?

“Tomorrow morning,” the Rebbe replied...
