PinGGG!.......................
“Last summer, remnants of Algonquian pottery from the 1500s, along with a copper wire earring believed to have been made from drawn copper brought from England, point to possible contact between the local tribes and English settlers.”
It could just as easily mean the Indians killed them and took their jewelry. Or took the women as slaves after killing the men.

No graves or skeletons were ever found...............
I still remember that episode and most of the series.
Once I read there was an album or CD set of show’s cue music. I’d love to have it.

My personal favorite explanation:
They were all taken aboard an Extra-Terrestrial Spaceship, and shipped to the home planet of the aliens, for study. They will be returned safely, but because of Time Dilation they will have aged very little while time on Earth has passed several centuries.................
I don't see that they have evidence that supports anything else. The artifacts discovered so far obviously are consistent with your theory.
I guess that would be "Indigenous" murder, etc.
The Indians were called Indians because that's what they were--they were from the Indies, and the whites were from Europe. Except Virginia Dare. She was of European ancestry, but she was Indigenous to America.
I don’t think the tribes were big on burying the bodies of those they killed. If the men were killed and women and children taken captive, there would be no graves and any skeletons scattered by animals and easily overlooked.
I always assumed they all died over time in captivity undiscovered by newly arriving Europeans.
Had any survived, they surely would have spoken up.
Hints of something or nothing, no answers found.
My first assumption? Killed and eaten.
I recently read an article that concluded the colonists probably left and joined the Indians in order to survive.
That seems to be the prevailing theory. Being migratory, the tribes would have moved to follow game and fish supplies....................
The obvious and most likely explanation and conclusion... They were slaughtered by the savages.
Indigenous tribes in North America were violent bloodthirsty savages. They fought and killed each other and when the Europeans arrived, they were just another tribe to be dealt with. So they fought and killed Europeans until they figured it out... The Europeans had better weapons and didn’t stop coming... So the Europeans then became the most dominant tribe of savages on the land. Now the middle eastern tribes are trying their best to unseat the European tribes.
Here’s another good explanation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iZC9qT7v3s
Thanks but we bought the DVD set a long time ago.
I’m one of those people who likes incidental and cue music along with soundtracks.
La-La Land and SAE are my usual sources.
Recently I bought the set for the very short lived 70s Cliffhangers!
Nostalgia.
