The amount of battlefield truth uttered by both sides is small.
Good article from Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) which analyzes what was in the $61 Billion aid package.
https://www.csis.org/analysis/what-ukraine-aid-package-and-what-does-it-mean-future-war
Details indicate that Alexander Mercouris (Youtube) was correct in saying very little of the money actually translates to weapons in the Ukraine.
There's an explanation saying, yes - we gave the Ukraine missiles with a 300 km range, but we altered the software to prevent them from launching that far and instead they cannot cross the Russian border.
Total formally given so far -with this latest adjustment: $175 Billion
We never know how much money the US actually has provided because Black Ops expenditures do not have to be reported.
Article confirms that there's a gap indicating some of the funds actually repay defense contractors for weapons previously provided.
There are 'forgivable loans' which the Dems like to emphasize, but since Biden isn't going to be in office then they probably aren't going to be 'forgiven'.
I found the CSIS page by reading the comments under a video. Kiev Panic, Budanov Blames Syrsky, Troops Surrender, Shoigu Runs Rus MIC, Belousov DefMin, about recent Russian advances/Ukrainian loses. Here's the comment:

May 12, 2024- US think tank CSIS admits previous claims of Russia's flagging military industrial output were inaccurate;
- CSIS reports massive production numbers of Russian tanks, artillery guns and shells, as well as drones, missiles, and electronic warfare systems;
- CSIS recommendations are decoupled with reality and the prerequisites required to expand military industrial production across the West to catch up to Russia; - The New Atlas
If you're talking about the palisavages, I don't buy the idea that any of them might be innocent of anything. They all voted to make Hamas their government...
Russia did one heck of a job over the past two years. They took on 1.2m AFU Soldiers backed by NATO with 160k combat troops. They fell back when the diplomacy failed due to NATO pressure. They held the line and withstood Ukraine’s 5 month 2023 offensive. Today Russia has 1m military up from 380k in 2022. Ukraine now has ZERO MILITARY RESERVES. Ukraine has resorted to pulling men from the line of contact in the South and East to hold the North. Russia did not open this Northern front until the idiots in Kiev decided to attack Belgorod and threaten Russian towns.
There are over 1000 BMPs and 400 tanks not yet committed in the Northern sector. Russia has 400k men in reserve, and 300k completing training at the end of June.
Ukraine’s been living off 19 years of NATO defensive positions which have all been captured now. The stalemate is over. Ukraine has only 600k combat soldiers, no air defense, and Russia has killed over 675k Ukrainian soldiers and wounded over a million. Russia has lost 70,000 including 20,000 Wagner.
When people say it’s over, they are simply stating the obvious as it was obvious in late 1943 for WWII Germany.
Russia took 275 sq miles in 72 hours. This summer they will force what’s left of the AFU east of the Dniper River, but northwest surrendering Odessa.
Clayton went from FOX news to real estate investing. In 2019 investors filed over two dozen lawsuits against him for fraud. He fled to Portugal to avoid the lawsuits. Alexander Mercouris was disbarred in the UK for defrauding a client.
Two know frauds shilling for Russia says it all. They have no unique insights. They take what other news created and put a pro-Russia spin on it. Everything they say, can be found from better sources than them.
What, two years in, and the real invasion has not started? Putin must be happy about the Black Sea fleet being decimated, refineries destroyed, arms factories bombed, military aircraft shot down, etc., etc.
I hear this nonsense at least annually, sometimes more often..........and some people here complain about propaganda from the Ukraine and the State Department and White House.
That was sarcasm to TB Yoits whom has a weird value system. He seems to care about innocent islamists but not innocent Christians.
They all voted for hamas like Russians all voted for Putin.
He is in for over $200billion, has watched the ruble circle the toilet for the last two years and he is currently paying 16% for money.
Actual real things.
oops meant to add-
Pres Trump will flodd the world with oil,
Russia’s $91billion/yr in added climate oil revs will be gone-
and he will have taken exactly what he was after all along-like magic.
the ruble will not recover as it never recovered from the 2014 invasion.
The end is impoverishment of the Russian people for largely no gain.
And you, with the Youkie chicken scratch and little Youkie flags in your tagline (on an English-speaking AMERICAN conservative forum), are a turgid shill for Youycrayne, one of Europe's most horribly corrupt countries where billions of American taxpayers' dollars are being redistributed to a vile collection of kleptocrats, oligarchs and politicans.
Shame on you.
Good post Jumper
LOL, complete russian idiot propaganda. If those numbers were ANYTHING close to reality the war would have been over in 6 months, and not be in its 810 day.
They had 1000 bmps and 400 tanks… a lot less today
Quite amazing, and yet the usuals scream about propoganda.
Even 1000 bmps and 400 tanks is fantasy, but if they have them where are the much revered mass Soviet attacks?
I guess Putin is finally going to take the gloves off /s
Saved for future reference lol

Here is a decent interactive map with “source” links and a rolling update of significant events around the world (when you select a region the updates are to the right, and a very small print source link takes you to X/twitter or article):

I had not seen this before this past week. I believe that this is the tip of the iceberg in finding the actual information that the Ukrainian and Russian bloggers use a sources.
BTW this morning, the Ukrainian Top Commanding General stated his has no reserves and everything has been thrown into the battles in the North. Russia has already cut the railroad from Kiev across the top of northern Ukraine. This northern front is now expanding eastwards along the border.
I believe, (bookmark me) that, a history of this war will be written showing the pivital moment was the political calcalulation of the Kiev government between Christmas and New Year’s to attack Belgorod and try to capture several Russia cities - this forced Putin to Up-Tempo on or at about 14 Janaury 2024 to create a buffer zone. From January until approximately 8 May all the buffer zone activity had been in the East and South. The second week of May began this Northern buffer zone. Russia has systematically destroyed the AFU and they have no reserves left. There will be massive changes in the map over the summer months and Ukraine will never fully recover.
Today in Kiev the western leaders told the Ukrainian government that the west will not rebuild Ukraine after the war... a little birdy tweets the West is going to have trouble of it’s own financially when this is all over.
That, and more $billions, should turn it around.
It’s a good question. It is often said perception is reality. Stalin despite his systematic torture of his people during his reign is considered to be a hero because he had the big chair in WWII. There was plenty of resources to exploit in the Soviet Union but the peasants didn’t benefit. The people living under Putin seem to live much better than their ancestors. The Russian soldiers in WWII couldn’t believe how rich the Germans were on their way to Berlin wondering why they were attacked when Germans appeared to have so much.
Yeah, and turn their families over to the tender mercies of the Russians, to be slaughtered.
Right up there with "Two weeks to flatten the curve" and "You can keep your doctor and your plan".
