It is hard to explain. After a firefight Iron/rust smell from the blood, Burnt flesh and blood, Burnt vegetation, burnt wood, cardboard and paint from ammo boxes, burnt paint and fuel if vehicles were involved, Etc.
Not even going to jump into what burn pits smell like when relaxing back at base.
