God bless President Nixon for taking a determined stand with our great friend Israel. Amen.
4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. 7 And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.
8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.
The intelligence gathered by SR-71 overflights was also important to Israeli efforts.
I remember being stationed at LAS Germany during the Yom Kippur war. The US tried to ship a bunch of reserve tanks to Israel out of Bremerhaven and the GERMANS stopped it. They wanted all the tanks the US had to stay put cuz Russia.

People forget this about Nixon.
The actual quote was something like “anything that shoots, on anything that flies”.
Which led to the OPEC oil embargo.
Which caused crude oil prices to almost triple.
Which led to the “Energy Crisis” (and the 55 mph national speed limit, among other horse puckey).
Which led to America ‘discovering’ Japanese cars. Before that, it was un-patriotic to not buy American.
Which led to a crisis in Detroit that forced them to “raise their game” and build cars that got better gas mileage and lasted longer.
In 1972, a car was decent if it lasted 100,000 miles.
IN 1978, a car was crap if it didn’t last 200,000.
I was issued cold weather gear and packed up with my gear by the front door and my step brother was packed up and sitting on the tarmac with the 82nd.
I was being discharged from the Army within months and thought it would be sort of nasty to be detoured to the Eastern Front.
I had a battery in the Illinois Army National Guard, short two forward observer 1/4 tons and trailers. They finally arrived at the railroad yard at Camp Lincoln and were waiting on a low-boy to deliver to our armory in Chicago.
The war in question happened and I was advised that my vehicles and trailers were on board a C-141 bound for Israel.
Funny, they were never replaced, but I never doubted that they were well invested.
This article is from Oct. of 2022. The Nixon Israel story is just a wind up for the pitch for more arms for Ukraine. My sense is Ukraine has probably received many more arms and dollars since this was written.
Even fanatic Zeepers don’t claim they are winning the war anymore though.
