If NY and other states keep it up, the SCOTUS might invalidate all gun laws by declaring them unconstitutional. I would love to see officials prosecuted for violating constitutional rights.

In NY it will only be the citizens. Law Officers and Retired Law Officers will be exempt.

When they became Shall Issue you should have heard the Members of those classes wailing when they realized they had to take the mandated course, but they still got exemptions for the areas no normal person is allowed to carry.

Shall issue is a second amendment infringement. Any requirement for licensing or registration is an infringement.

I think the real funny part is that such a conversion would render the gun far less dangerous.

There is a reason that the military and law enforcement don't convert their handguns to fully automatic. It's because it's a really stupid idea that only a pimp halfwit would do.

If the first shot misses the target the rest will to. The level of training required to effectively use such a weapon would be staggering.
