The people of Britain are waking up and walking away from this illusion of democracy foisted upon them by the so called elites.

The UK is not a democracy. It is a constitutional monarchy that employs a parliamentary legislative system.
True.
And the US is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic that employs a bicameral legislative system.
Those who call the US a democracy are not only misinformed and/or ignorant. They deserve to live in a TRUE democracy so they can learn just how awful it ls. Our Founders were wise.
Excellent rant

They are maleducated with disinformation. Check some of the prominent online dictionaries.
The word “democracy” was hijacked many years ago so that the U.S. can fit into the definition of a democracy.
Compare them:

They are classified practically the same way.
The English have lost sight of what life is all about. They abandoned borders. Language, culture and faith.
I looked online st a map of the neighborhood in the Hampstead areas where I lived 40 years ago. The quaint village Anglican parish church is now a night club. The Catholic chapel is still there.
RATS have hijacked many words over the years, and turned them into meaning something entirely different than what its original meaning was. They change words, and rules to suit an immediate need. Then get their panties in a twist if that same rule comes back to bite them in the rear end. And they want it changed again. They've done the same thing with the Constitution. And Repukes have sat on their hands and allowed it to happen over and over.
I cringe every time I hear a Republican refer to our form of government as a “democracy”.
Me too. I want to take them out back and beat them senseless until they remember what the "(R)" next to their name stands for.
There is precious little left of the America the Founders established. And less every day.
elitists, but not elite...
I know. They can even order media blackouts of stories. What it is, according to Jeremy Bentham, is a child’s uniform that has grown along with the child. Full grown, his knee pants and sailor top still fit, but he needs an entirely new outfit. So, too, there’s a bit of Magna Carta here, War of the Roses there, Common Law everywhere and two parliaments, one for the commoners and one for the nobility, a few colonies still under their dominion or commonwealth, or whatever, and with a monarchy for a cherry on top. In spite of all that jumble, it functions very well on many fronts. But “democracy” is just one facet of a complex diamond, one of which this vlogger is very fond, and which is very important. But it’s still just one facet.
My bad. That was from JS Mills’ essay on Jeremy Bentham.
Very excellent.
....how many years ago did Britain vote for Brexit?
And today, Britain is NO CLOSER to leaving the EU than the day before the vote. :)
I like this guy’s commentaries. Wonder what is his background.
All despotic systems of government claim they’re a democracy. Even places like N Korea.
Yeah, I subscribed to him last month. Like the suit and tie.
I recall a newscast of one of the 2020 riots, when a scruffy looking moron jumped up in front of the camera and shouted, “This is what democracy looks like!” No doubt he felt most pleased with himself, thinking he had scandalized the poor schmoes watching. But he was right. Mob rule IS what “democracy” looks like, and that is exactly why the Founding Fathers eschewed the idea completely.
Dems and most Republicans are on the same team.
