A lot of politicians support Israel for the very simple reason that not doing so brings the Israel lobby out against them. The Israel lobby has a stranglehold on American politicians because of their vast financial and lobbying assets. They just put up $300k to get rid of Massie for his crime of defending our constitution. Few politicians have the courage to go up against them. Their first priority is staying in office, not doing what is best for America.
That was wrong. It was also a Laubor Government. Israel was beloved by the left at the time because it was mostly socalist. Lukiud and Netenyahu went a long way twoards de- socializing ut.
Pro-Israel and anti-globalist are incompatible. That’s why the biggest supporters of Israel in Congress are pathological globalists.

Are you including Trump in your accusation? Because again, he’s the most pro-Israel President we’ve ever had, in both word and deed. He also has more Jews in his family than any former President. Hopefully neither fact will keep you from voting for him.
