20 mile range? And when the batteries lose their charge, the thing drops like a rock.

Finally the flying car (sort of) that I have been waiting for since I was a kid.
Now, if it could only change into a briefcase too.

My son and I toured the exhibit "Leonardo da Vinci: Inventor. Artist. Dreamer" exhibit at the California Science Center in Los Angeles yesterday, so this is a real timely story, Red. It's fun to imagine and speculate what Leonardo could have done with today's materials and technologies.
The Leonardo Exhibit exhibits full-and part scale models of his many technical, flight, musical, and entertainment inventions. The models were crafted at a workshop in Italy. The best materials of the day (1505) were wood and silk rope - nothing lightweight. Look how far man has come in just over 500 years!

Wouldn’t you have to have a pilot’s license to operate one of those things?

20 mile range is like taking off then making one loop to land.

Hmm...it’s 15 miles to the beer store, so no sale...yet. One word of cautions, though: all those idiots you see on the road are now going to be in the air. Be afraid.
To: Red Badger
Yeah, that’s what I want:
The same asshats I was just griping about in conversation with another person 15 minutes ago stepping into an aerial vehicle without a license to do so...
...while the rest of us have to jump through regulatory hoops just to fly a damned drone.

There are many, many great videos on youtube of Russian car accidents. Most cars in Russia have dash cams because there are so many accidents and the cops and courts are all corrupt.
I guess we'll soon see videos of these crashes.
