Is Amazon the seller or is it a third party using Amazon as the store front? Whoever it is might also be pre-selling something in anticipation of receiving it into their inventory later.
Take the free trial just DO NOT forget to cancel it in time
They’re probably trying to market you into Prime
I’ve had the free trial and cancelled it several times over the years - it’s not always offered but I take it if I’m ordering anyways (which is rare, now that I’m trying to see if I can get back on my feet for work)
I usually ignore the delivery dates and pick the cheapest offer. Items usually are received prior to or around the same time as the next higher offer $.
Depends on what part of China they’re coming from I suppose.
I’ve occasionally seen such oddities myself. The are real head scratchers. All Amazon delivery times are of course determined by a computer program. And I’m sure there’s some sort of algorithm built in that determines a time window such that a package won’t arrive late. Customers hate late packages.
I suppose the computer program sometimes hiccups, and gives you something weird.
“They’re probably trying to market you into Prime”
We’ve noticed that Prime isn’t what it used to be. They’ll provide you with a delivery date, e.g., two days, but often the order won’t show up until five days have passed. (A couple time it’s been here next day.) We may cancel.
Seems to have slipped downhill with Covid.
Amazon has now started putting items I track using their “wish list” into my cart. I recently decided to buy one item for approximately $20 and found that my cart total was over $600! I had to delete about 10 items out of the cart to buy the one thing I wanted now.
This has been done more than once to me. Not cool Amazon.
There is probably a shortage of truckers right now.
He is hilarious.
There, fixed it!
Something that takes that long is probably by a foreign outfit or else it is a product that has to be made after your order.
You have to be aware on Amazon when you purchase from someone selling from Amazon other than a direct purchase from Amazon.
Return policies aren’t the same either.
It’s been generally OK but I haven’t ordered much in quite awhile - did get some car parts a couple of months ago (scheduling with the mechanic is the hard part since he works about 7 days a week)
Yeah, Amazon failed bit time a few years back - it was a new cell phone to replace 1 of 2 that were dying (I carry one and sometimes a backup - cheap phones).
Amazon gave me the late phone for free along with the case - once I got the correct phone I tried to return it AND the case (still had both new in the box at the time)
I didn’t expect any more money - I just wanted them to have their merchandise back and I had the correct phone - they simply would not take it - said I’d be charged a restocking fee, LOL
Well, I still use that phone when another went bad (needs repair)
BTW, my TracPhone main cell is less than $22 a month and the backup phone is on limited time and costs less than $22 for each 3 months total. I actually have about 16+ hours of talk time built up on the backup phone but no data (have to get WiFi connection currently) - I could buy data but not now.
Mayor Pete says “Don’t look at me with your trucking concerns. I’ve been on a Stay-cation with my twins!”
DON’T put stuff in your cart, especially
The price gets jacked up while waiting - this is routine, I’ve noticed
WAIT until you are actually ready to make the purchase before putting it in your cart
It’s bait-and-switch, IMHO
In the past month, I’ve twice had items delivered the same day they were ordered. You might be dealing with a third-party vendor.
I ordered items on 3 May.
Delivered on 6 May.
