I would take a pinch of coffee grounds and chew on them to get the caffeine.

Pass the Dirty Martini, Extra Olives! Is it Friday, yet? Is it Friday, yet?

It ain’t Friday here, but if it’s Friday somewhere, you should go for it! I don’t care if you go forward or backward a few days.

Also, we are toasting my MIL, who is 96 today. She gives POTUS a run for his money. May she hold out till her 100th birthday or even longer!

We use chocolate covered espresso beans when we need a pick up on long drives.

Oh, I sure hope she makes it to 100! My Mom is 86 and is ‘The Energizer Bunny!’ I hope she lives forever. :)

My MIL is still living independently in her own home, and has a caregiver come every day, but doesn’t stay overnight. The caregiver does the cooking and helps her get dressed if needed.

Her biggest challenge is with electronics if something goes out, she doesn’t know how to get things rebooted, and can’t manage toggle switches on devices as well. She was (still is) a stubborn gal, so was very proficient with the computer and other devices like cell phones for a long long time. Her hearing is going, but she just got refitted for hearing aids, and that seems to be improving. Her biggest trouble is macular degeneration so it makes it hard to point cursors in the right place.

She only uses a cane, and only when she goes out in public. She’s fine in her normal surroundings. Her short term memory isn’t very good anymore. I think the hard drive there is full. She eats three square meals a day, and is still pretty fit in that regard. We know she won’t last forever, but she is in amazing shape for her age.

I hope your Mom will age as nicely as my MIL has!
