Store employees in Beverly Hills were so fed up with shoplifting, they decided to put together a "new mugshot" wall-of-shame display.
If you are a serial shoplifter, you have no shame. This isn’t an otherwise respected businessman caught procuring a prostitute.
Agreed. If you are willing to joyfully accept generations of welfare and entitlement you are not shamed by a mugshot on “WhITEY’S wall of shame.
Most of them are in it for the money - they have mothers, fathers, girlfriends - most of them aren’t psychopaths. So yeah, this might work.
It would be more effective if they could get to a point where they posted autopsy photos.
Back in my day, people who wrote NSF checks would have them taped in the window of the local establishment thus affected. You would not have believed how quickly they came to redeem them for cash. Typically, less than 48 hours.
I am of your generation. I think though that many current people have no shame and do not put any value at all in what their friends and neighbors think about their actions.
Not sure what to do about no shame.
I bet they get sued.
If they get sued — ADD THE PHOTO of the lawyer to the wall !!
One way to rectify the problem is to adopt elements of Sharia law in problem areas. The resulting hand amputations performed by scimitar in the town square might put a damper on common theft. I’m only half joking insofar as this is how ancient cultures dealt with trying to hold society together.
not psychopaths, but certainly all of them are at least sociopaths
A great photo wall of people in hoodies and masks?
When law enforcement is nowhere to be found I guess this is all you can do.
Not a bad idea.Sign, at the door, saying “Sharia law enforced, here”.
I see lawsuits ahead...
Our district attorney George Gascon won't prosecute crimes and doesn't give a damn about crime victims. If this sort of thing doesn't work, the next step will have to be vigilante justice.
And?...if they cared what anybody thought, they wouldn’t steal.
Well aware of Gascon as well as his previous tenure in SF.
