I did a search for "school," and this thread from yesterday popped up.

The articles below give some updated information - his name, age, etc. He was a 14-year-old 8th-grade student at the school. Witnesses say he tried to break through a window.

I don't know how much damage a pellet gun can do, but he had some plans for it:
