Ukraine is on the brink, says a senior general
X ^

A very sobering @olliecarroll interview with Ukraine’s deputy mil intel chief. He says Chasiv Yar will fall eventually, that Ukraine is far from stabilising the front and that Russia is “generating a division of reserves” & wants to strike at Sumy/Kharkiv.

‘Right now, both sides are jockeying for the “the most favourable position” ahead of potential talks. But meaningful negotiations can begin only in the second half of 2025 at the earliest, he guesses

About Johnson, you are probably right. He doesn’t want the gop caucus to be “the ones who lost Ukraine.” wIse

“...second half of 2025...”

Ukraine is not going to make it to the second half of 2025.

“(Yes,this sounds anti American but my reading of our history since WW2 is we tend to stir up or get involved in other nation’s problems then when the political heat gets too warm, we bail but only after the multitude of deaths and incalculable lost of public treasury and faith in our government.)”

You nailed it. And I’m retired military. And vets know that most child-critters of politicians somehow managed to not go into the military, or fake it like Swift-Boat Kerry.

Ukraine’s goals are not only militarily impossible - they are completely contradictory.

Ukraine’s government is radical Ukraine nationalist-Azov, they claim the Eastern (and Central) Provinces as “forever Ukrainian,” but at the same time want to eliminate the Russian language, eliminate the influence of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Orthodox Church, they want to suppress the many historical Russian cultural figures from Ukraine - which are all basic cultural foundations of the people there.

Its a complete contradiction.

There's talk of a ten year aid package to Ukraine that will be written into law such that Trump won't be able to veto it.

This talk might be about trying to gin up support for such a bill.

Maybe but I bet if I bother to read all your posts I’ll find you said Ukraine would fall in 2022 and 2023.

Yeah but first Zelensky and Biden gotta declare “total
victory” so Biden can get 100 million votes in Nov.

Then and only then can Ukraine collapse in defeat.

Just keep killing as many Russians as possible and destroy as much of their equipment as possible.

Make them pay for this!

“Biden and his NATO buddies goaded Russia into war.”

Right there is where you take off from reality and never look back.

Poor Putin, Biden made him do it.

World doesn’t work that way.
But Russian lies do.

Do you know what was going on when Russia decided to invade?
Absolutely nothing, except that Biden had shown his weakness with a debacle in Afghanistan.

As opposed to Russia. But then nukes would be flying and dropping. Yet some here still hold out hope…

In addition to these size aerial bombs, fab 6000 and fab 9000 reportedly exist too. I don’t think they have been used, but that is a big bomb.

Absolutely nothing, you say? Biden has no history of using Ukraine?

Russia had nothing to fear from what it perceived as hostile NATO actions toward its former colony?

Don’t get any more wrong here and get me wrong. Putin is evil and Russia should not have invaded Ukraine. But there is no doubt that Biden and NATO are not innocent bystanders.

Your reading comprehension is “illiterate”.
I never claimed America caused “all the trouble in the world”
We need to solve our own problems before we send our men or dollars into areas of the world we literally have no interest.
Afghanistan, Ukraine, Israel, Syria Central Africa, etc...
