Ukraine is looking to boost female participation in demining operations due to a critical shortage of resources, Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said during a meeting with Canadian Ambassador for Women, Peace and Security, Jacqueline O'Neill, on April 29.

"Gender equality is a core component of Ukraine's policy, which is founded on principles of integration, inclusiveness, and integrity. This is applicable across all sectors, including key areas such as demining," Svyrydenko stated, acknowledging the notable progress already made.

If you’re trained properly and pay attention to detail, you should be just fine (man or woman). Men are obviously better used for the actual fighting.

Given the fact that this ‘two week’ invasion has turned into a multi-year quagmire costing hundreds of thousands of Russia’s best trained fighting forces, and a situation much worse than Afghanistan for Russia’s youth, and with no end in site. Female Russian fighters will soon be all they have left for Putin’s fodder on the Ukrainian front. After they’re done... Then who will fight? Russia’s pensioners?

Putin will eventually die and when he does, this nonsense will end. The sooner, the better.

Only sick cowards would permit their wives and daughters to do this. Says ALOT about Ukeland government and culture, almost as sickening as the videos of Uke soldiers kidnapping teenagers and grandfathers off the street to send them to the front.

Sending women into mine fields?

Way to go, Biden - just think of all those Russian mines we are attriting!

And all for the low, low smokin’ deal price of 68 billion dollars.

Biden and Zelensky need to get with the Democrats and Biden's Mullahs buddies in Iran to get tips on how to clear mine fields with 10-17 year old kids.

Good old Mahmoud Ahmadinejad used his engineering skills and figured out the best approach was roll one kid in a Persian rug and have a team of other kids roll him through the mine field. This gave the best area coverage for clearing and kept the kids body from being blown into small pieces so he would be presentable to his family at the funeral.

Should work great and it would be a shame to have all those hot Ukrainian chicks leaving a mangled corpse.

“Gender equality is a core component of Ukraine’s policy”

You gotta hand it to Zalensky. He knows how to use the language of the democrats.

I’d suggest a few thousand of the anti-Israel college protesters on pogo sticks.

In all fairness, at the present time there is minimal IMMEDIATE need for UKRAINIAN deminers. The demining that is currently happening in Ukraine is being done by RUSSIAN sappers as they take new areas that have minefields earlier set up by the Ukrainians. That’s not to say that there won’t be future need for more UKRAINIAN sappers…there well may be. So it’s probably wise to NOW train new sappers to fill any projected shortage. But these new Sappers won’t be busy with demining in the near term.

Clearing minefields by running women into them. Right?

It seems like the pro-Putin club is hard at work. Did something bad happen to the Russian military?

Not true. Teaching women to safely avoid or even dispose of mines and unexploded ordnance is a good idea. After all it is their kids who are the most common victims of leftover mines and UXO.

Nobody wants to see women have to use a gun either, but I'd rather my wife and daughter could defend themselves than have them be victims of some criminal.

The real question is why do Russians feel the need to attack and destroy their neighbors?

No, that’s what Russian soldiers do. The Ukrainians carefully train men and women to clear mines that the Russians left behind when they retreated.

I’ll help you with the math. Putin responded to the overthrow of the Uke government in 2014 by the U.S. administrative state two years ago. Trump responded to the administrative state’s ongoing overthrow of his administration using Ukraine four years ago. Now you obviously are not concerned with anything that happened in Ukraine from 2014-2022. That’s fine, just keep repeating everything Hillary, Brennen, Vindman, Schiff, Biden and all the other DS heroes you get your info from tell you to repeat but no one here takes your Russia, Russia, Russia deliriums seriously. I’m really going to tick you off with this, Eric Ciaramella! Oh no, I typed the name your heroes have forbidden you to see. What will you do now?

Right. Ukraine would only need deminers if they were advancing.
