I wonder what their car looks like from all the debris and hail strikes.
If evil can be beautiful, the length and breath of that tornado fit the bill.
Never seen a tornado, but that would skeer the crap out of me.
As a kid I thought it would adventurous to see a tornado and a volcano. The place I was staying got hit twice when I was in college. Then another huge one hit Texas when I was working there but didn’t where I was living. Can’t say I want to see that ever again.
Then, in Baraloce Argentina, we got covered with ash when a Chilean volcano blew about 15 years ago. That was enough for me....
It’s a specially modified heavy truck. The exterior is steel plate and ballistic rated glass.

Amazing footage.
reap the whirlwind.
I’ve seen 7. That’s a beast.
I lived in E Kansas as a kid. I remember an evening when there were three funnels in the sky. smaller than that one, to be sure. but still impressive.
Send a 2x4 clean through you, or a brick, or a piece of metal off my house.
Me too. What’s to keep that “rope” from lashing over to the chasers?
I’ve been IN one tornado (pretty much destroyed our then house, but fortunately we had a basement to take shelter in) and after we came out the towering cumulus cloud heading east was building at an unbelievable rate, but the twister itself was obscured.
Had another one pass over my current house about 50 ft. off the ground, judging by where the tree tops snapped off (some pointing west-south-west, in the direction the storm came from.) Didn’t see that one either.
Evil? It’s weather.
Absolutely disgusting to listen to the guy filming. Laughing, excited and happy, driving right towards it, absolutely thrilled at seeing the destruction. Jack ass is like this call Rex, delay response, and are nothing but a nuisance. No different than the blood dancers after a mass shooting
When they are that big, you don’t normally see the ‘tail’. Other than a bluster of debris.
Probably an F5. I saw what happened in Jarrell, TX.
Jackasses like that cause wrecks…and hearing him so giddy and happy about what he’s seeing. Disgusting
Jarrell? Or Witchita Falls? Wichita Falls was in the 70s. Dallas and Waco come to mind.
I'm on a chainsaw disaster relief crew in Oklahoma; I'm just waiting on the assessors to finish their work as other crews are already deploying across the region. We're always reminded that no matter the work to be done, the human element in interacting with the survivors is our most important work.
