I think of this stuff in another way. A while back Schumer on the Senate floor said that he and others had marched with the college students for a women’s right to choose and had marched with gays for their rights and now he was surprised at their virulent Anti-Semitism. “Moron, “ I said to the television, “how many of the young women and men on campuses have had their own babies’ heads cut off in abortion clinics on the Democrats’ advice and now you’re surprised that they don’t care about Jewish babies in Israel being beheaded? Why would they care about the heads of Jewish babies? They’ve had their own children beheaded!” Hook-up culture is big on campuses. But how long before the kids figure out: “I’m just being used like an object.” The kids are told it’s normal to act out homosexually. They aren’t filled with PRIDE from this as the liars tell them, but self-loathing and they loathe others and lash out at them.
Society used to know that lust and anger are closely related vices. People who surrender to vice and unnatural vice can turn into absolute monsters. Liberalism is the death of common sense. Pray for our brainwashed, confused, lost, ANGRY young people.
There’s a saying of Orwell: All liberal thought is a playing with fire by people who do not know that fire is hot.
There is no intellectual justification or reason for it.
It’s demonically fueled hatred.
This round of protests only began to catch fire when the media were able to sell the idea of Israel being the aggressors and Palestinians being the victims. Adolescent mentality (of any age) is disposed to buy into the false dichotomy of the world being made up of perpetrators and victims. Simple immature black and white thinking as it were. And the normal response of one with any empathy at all, is to identify with the victim.
Being embedded in conflict scenarios, this world view is a vehicle for the activation of the individual’s own aggression. By identifying with the victim, he is enabled to adopt a posture of righteous anger. This anger engages the person’s own aggression. That is why protests that may start out peaceful, generally devolve rapidly into aggression, even violence if not swiftly curtailed. We are witnessing this on various campuses even as we speak.
The anti-Jewish leaders of the Left and of Islam utilize this process effectively to ignite antisemitism, where before it may have not existed, or have only been latent, and to recruit supporters for now and future purposes. College age students, being credulous and easily manipulated, are easy prey.
This is a behaviorist description that only applies somewhat.
