The biggest problem is nobody seems to be doing anything about this myself included. The problem for me personally is I work too much and don’t have time to protest in the streets like rich Columbia university students. I assume this is the case for most people on the right.

As a result we all seem to be sitting around hoping it all turns around in November, but if you ask me, that’s a huge gamble. Why are we assuming these domestic enemies will allow a legit election? They are already cheating and interfering aren’t they with these BS indictments of Trump.

Where are the mass protests of that? Where are the crowds outside Alvin Braggs house? Letitia James house? Merrick Garland the punk who tagged parents of students terrorists but not the punks supporting Hamas shutting down universities and attacking Jews. If it’s OK for the left to protest outside the house of SCOTUS then we should do the same to these phony prosecutors.

The problem for me personally is I work too much and don’t have time to protest in the streets...

Bingo!

The founders well knew how the average American voter would be busy on the farm 24/7, others would put in 12-14+ hour days in the mills, some would vote as told for the price of a meal or drink, etc. and others would be too intimidated to vote.

They as much as conceded they were giving us a fragile concept, and expected us to choose our political representatives with care (and perhaps a lot of luck).

Imagine paying top dollar to an attorney who signs a contract or swears an oath to represent your interests and then find out he was also being given even greater sums of money by some who had a quite different agenda from yours.

It has been said before, but it is becoming increasingly obvious we are in a bare knuckle street fight for the soul of our nation.

We either select tough, effective politicians who will work as a team and can sort out the issues, confront the opposing "politicians" and take no prisoners, or our nation will fail.

You make a good point.
I’m guilty as well.
Too many of us expect someone else, like Trump, to do all the heavy lifting.

I think much of what is behind the J6 persecutions is their fear we will get involved. And, they are doing everything possible to make us fear being noticed.

Great post. I agree with everything you said, especially the last paragraph.

But I have to add this thought to that paragraph.

The over-the-top prosecution of Jan 6 protesters has scared many on the right. The absurd jailing in terrible conditions has understandably intimidated many conservatives.

Add in the deep state targeting of Catholics and school board protestors—and you can see why so many on the right have been marginalized, and even neutered!

The weaponizing of our leviathan government—the FBI, CIA and other agencies has been incredibly effective, with long term repercussions, none of them good. They have served the democrats very well.

One reason the left is dominating and we are not, is that they have been building their infrastructure for years, while we have not. Remember “Occupy WallStreet?” They used that as a test run, and secured a whole cadre of activists who are still out there, and metastasizing, today. That was in 2011, btw, so they have that much of a head start. These protest movements don’t just get started overnight. Of course having Hussein in the White House helped their project a whole lot.

You can see the same time tested tactic, refined, right now with the “tent cities” occupying campuses. Lots of money. Soros money, Muslim Brotherhood money, made available on short notice to capitalize on any opportunity. Add in media collusion, and government protection, and how do we, as individuals, do anything?

Ping! Out to the Victor Davis Hanson list

5) Redefine violent crime as understandable, cry-of-the-heart expressions of social justice. Ensure no bail and same-day release for arrested, repeat violent felons. Empathize with the violent killer and rapist; ignore their victims, especially if slain police-officers.

6). Emasculate the military by using non-meritocratic standards of race, gender, and sexual orientation to determine promotion and commendation. Deliberately smear as racists and insurrectionists the largest demographic in the military who in recent wars died at twice their numbers in the population—so that they leave or never join the military. Encourage retired high officers to slander their Commander-in-Chief. Cut the defense budget. Stop producing sufficient weapons, but leave billions of dollars’ worth of arms to terrorists.

7) Reinvent the justice system to indict, bankrupt, convict, jail and eliminate political opponents. Use ballot removal, impeachment, civil suits, and state and federal indictments rather than elections to defeat an opponent. Mob the homes of non-compliant Supreme Court Justices, attack them personally by name.

”The biggest problem is nobody seems to be doing anything about this myself included. The problem for me personally is I work too much and don’t have time to protest in the streets like rich Columbia university students. I assume this is the case for most people on the right.”

I respectfully beg to differ. In the early years of Free Republic the members of this forum, who also worked hard and had families to support (including me), took time to protest in the streets. Heck, we even had airplane-toting banners flying over major sporting events. We had conventions across the nation. We had a regular presence in the streets of DC.

But, as we old-timers have started to fade away (or in Gonzo's case, blazing across the Cosmos to meet Saint Peter in person) it falls to the next generation to take up the mantle. If the new generation doesn't have the gumption, then maybe we need our hundred years of socialist Hell such as Argentina is only now emerging from(?)

The old-time Freepers would have been out in the streets. I know, because I was out there with ‘em!
