Are Taylor Swifts lyrics full of “explicit” content?
It’s one thing to drop a bunch of F-bombs….but are they also flat-out Demonic and Blasphemous?

Last summer I thought I would “educate myself” by listening to TS’s latest album. I was interested in understanding all of fuss.
I started listening when I went on my daily 5 mile walk. I made it almost a mile before I turned it off.
All her stuff was pretty sad. I don’t need sad or angry in my life.
But, I am not going to be an old guy decrying the “devil’s music.” That has been a trope since there have been teenagers and music.
Won’t stop the claims
Under this silliness, pretty much every big group of the 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s did the same.
Rap and Hip Hop certainly fits the bill.
Maybe Neil Sedaka is okay, but Bad Blood is probably vampirical to them.
If they want to avoid this satanic world, there’s countries like North Korea and that Hamas-led area that would satisfy their tastes.

Yeah...I tried to watch the first Twilight movie shortly after it came out in order to understand it’s popularity. I could never bring myself to even attempt to read the book. Anyway, I only made it about 30 minutes into the film before I just couldn’t take it anymore (and had to stop).

My daughter loves her music, and she tried to take me to one of her concerts. However, the effects of Long Covid kept me from attending. I’m glad. I can’t stand her music and these examples of her lyrics just prove to me why her music is not to be listened to.

Certain things are tempting like money-lust and flesh-lust. But I don’t see the temptation in using vile language and flippantly using allusions to the sacred or overt sacrilege.
For years I misunderstood the lyrics of Steely Dan’s HEY NINETEEN. I thought “Cuervo Gold” was Where love goes and “fine Colombian” was fine comb runnin (a deep metaphor). When I happened to see the lyrics printed out, I was shocked that I had been listening to a druggie song. My version of the lyrics is superior to the Dan’s.
I remember when Elvis appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show the camera operators were told not to show him from the waist down least his swiveling hips ignite moral indignation.
Taylor Swift is an ignorant twit with a modicum of talent and a pretty face. She and her promoters are smart enough to exploit this to make lots of money selling vapid schlock music. She like lots of other pop stars will soon disappear.
The March of Dimes in the old days advised that a woman should have her first child by 28 and her last child by 35. It is probably fair advice even though my mother was 38 when I arrived, and my wife was 37 when our youngest was born.
