ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS are siding with the DEMOCRATS on UKRAINE to support Joe Biden getting elected!
BEJ

Posted on 04/20/2024 11:01:17 AM PDT by BEJ

The establishment Republicans are sustaining the Ukrainian war till after the election. They are doing so to support Joe Biden getting elected. If they followed common sense, they would realize that throwing money at Ukraine will do noting to win the war. The war is already lost for Ukraine. What it will do is sustain the war till after the election of Joe Biden. Joe Biden can say he stayed the course, he was true to his word.

What these traitors have done:

1) Sided with Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump

2) Thrown away American money on a pipe dream

3) Continue to throw away American money after they realized it was a pipe dream

4) Help install and continue to support a traitor to the Ukrainian people who will destroy his nation rather than have peace talks.

It's the old story of corruption and betrayal by the greasy, sleaze artists like Johnson. Yes, He even looks greasy.

I don't know what Trump is thinking. But the party has already betrayed him.

Sensible people realize that we have much more immediate threats right here at home and refuse to have their attention diverted to some distant boogeyman “dictator” yet again. We are on the cusp of losing our great nation to global communists and don’t consider stoking WWWIII to be a satisfactory response to the crisis. Our great institutions have been subverted, our currency debased, our culture vilified, our morality sneered at and almost outlawed, and we’re supposed to rally around another “‘if we don’t fight them there, then we’ll fight them here” boondoggle and travesty. The toothpaste is out of the tube and there’s no putting it back in.

We just don’t want our tax dollars being fed into this money-laundering operation.

Right, so then JUST sending tons of weapons to Ukraine would be fine.

Let Europe take care of European issues. We have enough problems of our own.

Okay, so we disengage from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the rest of the world, hoping the world somehow ends up better. Makes sense

... Biden has always been a useful idiot for the Russians.

And the simple-minded have easily become Putin's useful idiotic tools across the fruited plain.

A sad thing to behold.

“They may also be discerning the truth.”

They may also just be imputing as “truth” what is just their own supposition.

The Russians still haven’t started their offensive. So far they are in a defensive posture, meat grinding the Ukrainians with their war of attrition, and advancing slowly when there is an opportunity to. The Russians have great recruitment numbers, more weapons, and more shells (10 to 1 advantage over the Ukrainians), and an air force. The Ukrainians are out of trained men (that is why the draft and press gangs), out of weapons, out of shells and out of their minds to keep the war going.

I wish to inflict defeat on the US? Ukraine is a foreign country, it is not the US. Maybe take geography next year when you graduate from grade 5. The US should have been negotiating peace for Ukraine. Second, the US should not have driven Russian into the hands of China. Good Lord. So many stupid blunders by the neocons. Throw endless, public money away for war in some corrupt, foreign country that nobody knows where and maybe start WWIII — how’s that for the Biden administration? Go ahead and side with those losers if you want.

Yeah, you want to think the best about a person, and then wish fulfillment and hope overrides the obvious. Later, you kick yourself and say all the clues were there from the start.

>>There are plenty of conservative Republicans who support Ukraine<<

No, no there are not. Just you zeeper freaks who are in lock-step with biden.

Look up my posting history and you will see that that is not so. I am sorry, but the pro-Putin crowd does not get to define who are true conservatives.

Our house is on fire so it may make sense to forget about the small mess in the neighbor’s yard for the time being.

Again, the same nonsense. It's Russia attacking and Russia getting attritted, in some areas so badly the Ukrainians (weak as they are) are able to counterattack.

Your side has been touting all the supposed Russian advantages from day 1. They have never been able to apply them. Right now they have some advantage because of the glide bombs but that will go away as soon as Ukraine gets more air defense. Russia only has a 4 or 5 to 1 advantage in manpower. All the Ukrainians have to do is keep killing them at a higher ratio and they win. If they win, they get EU membership and a functioning, Western-level society. If the Russians win, they get to steal a toilet or flatscreen TV to go back to the toiletless steppes of Mir. Who do you think is more motivated?

No matter what their fortunes, the Ukrainians will keep resisting. Being killed fighting is better than being killed & despoiled by Russian scum.

We didn't "drive" Russia to China, they cooperate because they have more in common than with us.

Right, so with the democrats in charge of the White House and Senate, and a weak Republican majority in the House, exactly what conservative bills did you think would pass that would put out the fire in our house?

It is amazing to see how many on the right parrot tired, old Vietnam era tropes from the anti-American Left.

Things I would like to conserve:

The Constitution
The culture
Our institutions
The Dollar
Financial solvency
The family
My family
Traditional morality

... and way, way down the list... the ever changing borders of some distant Eastern European Country.

The US was aggressive since 1992 after promising Russia that NATO wouldn’t expand into Eastern Europe. NATO did exactly that, they expanded into Eastern Europe. The Russians are having their own “Cuban Missile Crisis” that JFK had in the early 60s, but with Ukraine. And Putin says this over and over, and he wanted peace with two Minsk accords that failed because the Ukrainians pulled out. The last peace talk was in Istanbul, where Boris Johnston pulled the pug and gave Ukraine the go signal for war.

Biden is not an appeaser. The signal to go to war was given by the west. Boris Johnson just delivered it. When has Biden ever appeased with anybody? It’s always double down. That’s the democratic line. Trump is the rational person who can talk honestly and openly with people.

Average Americans will be better off when the Russians finally kick the Democrats and the Deep-state out of their Ukraine corruption rat-hole.

How so? How does allowing the Russians to subjugate another country benefit America?

The 2014 Maidan coup ...

I am really tired of this pro-Russian meme. Maidan was not a coup driven by the CIA. Yanukovych had betrayed the Ukrainian people by succumbing to Russian pressure to reverse himself on an EU/Ukraine agreement that he had previously supported and had been approved by parliament, and attempted to bind Ukraine to an economic union with Russia. The response in the street by the people was spontaneous and broadly supported. Yanukovych responded with the use of force. He eventually fled the country and was removed from office by the parliament, not by the CIA. This constant charge that it was some sort of U.S. coup is complete hogwash.

Even the charges of a coup were true, it would not justify the Russian invasion. There have been two presidential elections since. Zelensky, as well as the present parliament, was freely elected by the Ukrainian people. He was not installed by the U.S. Russia does not get to invade because they do not like the result of the elections.
