Gordon Ramsay’s London pub taken over by squatters: ‘Absolute nightmare scenario’
NY Post ^ | 4/13/24 | Katherine Donlevy

**SNIP**

A swarm of squatters have shacked up inside the celebrity chef’s $16.1 million pub — using Ramsay’s own kitchen appliances to barricade themselves inside, according to a report.

**SNIP**

One person was seen barefoot and sprawled across on a black leather sofa inside the restaurant, with their personal belongings and debris, including empty wine bottles, strewn across the floor.

**SNIP**

“The pub was temporarily closed while he was finalizing a new lease, and during this handover period, a gang of professional squatters somehow bypassed all the security and CCTV, and got themselves in.

“They’ve now boarded themselves in the building and are slowly taking over the place, leaving their crap everywhere and brazenly telling locals this is now their home.

“They’ve glued tight all the locks and are cooking up a storm in the kitchen, which is especially galling for Gordon.”

The insider said there are at least six “professional squatters” — five men and one woman — living inside the restaurant and its attached bedrooms.

“God knows the damage and filth,” said the source.

Ramsay has reportedly called police to obtain an eviction notice, “but it’s proving an absolute nightmare.”

The squatters themselves have threatened legal action against anyone that tries to force them out.

Calling themselves “The Occupiers,” the group slapped a notice on the front door claiming they are entitled to stay in the pub because it “is a non-residential building.”

“Take notice that we occupy this property and at all times there is at least one person in occupation,” the notice reads.

“That if you attempt to enter by violence or by threatening violence we will prosecute you … You may receive a sentence of up to six months imprisonment and/or a fine of up to £5,000 ($6,200)”

NH has very specific, hard to meet squatters laws.

New Hampshire Squatters’ Rights & Adverse Possession Laws - 2024

I recently talked to one of the local LEOs and asked about the squatting issue and he told me that if there was ever someone on our property that we didn’t want there and they refused to leave, to call them and they would take care of him/them.

I wonder if he actually went to the site himself? I’d love to see that wild man confront them.

Couldn’t Gordo just hire some English soccer fans to go over and have a little chat with the occupiers?

The UK has fallen... I think the squatters has more rights than Gordon...It’s a shame. His personna is not what you see on Master Chef, but like you see on Master Chef Junior. Know a restauranteur who knows him.

On the other hand, wouldn’t that be a flagrant violation of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons?

Florida's news media constantly referred to Florida's “stand your ground” law as controversial, in part because the state chairman of the NRA affiliate was the principal advocate. For about ten years, the news media publicized every case in which the outcome could be portrayed as questionable, usually by avoiding contrary facts and emphasizing race. Eventually, the criticism declined after a comprehensive review of all the known cases showed that in several instances, blacks used the law to protect themselves against threats from racist whites.

New Hampshire seems to follow the traditional common law rule on adverse possession. One of my law school professors told of how NYU law school had built a concrete pad in front of an entrance to their most important building, with the pad indistinguishable from the city's public sidewalk.

Once a year, the law school shut the entrance and barricaded the concrete pad so as to assert its ownership and defeat any possible claim that a permanent public easement had been through adverse possession.

The only true remedy is for the pawns of the left to realize the elite have much nicer things for them to occupy and steal.

I was thinking the same thing. Water, too.

Wait for the food to run out. They have to leave sometime for supplies or money. Or drugs.

Did he? This assumption that our ‘elected representatives’ are part of a functioning and honest system has to be questioned. As in, it’s not and is completely corrupted.

So blaming the voter is the wrong stance imho. We vote for ‘chosen’ candidates, ones that are compromised, ones that we’re allowed to choose from. Candidates that will do as they’re told.

It’s hard to tell between the Tory or Labor parties in the UK, for important topics they have the same policies (e.g. immigration). That alone is all the evidence needed to know there’s a problem.

I don’t think things are much different here either (compromised politicians) but our 2-party system has created a clear differentiation between ideologies. That isn’t to say the GOP actually represents us well - they’re just more spineless than the D’s. WE THE PEOPLE however are becoming more divided. At some point this will break D.C. - it’s why they fear PDJT. It’s why they hate him....somebody that actually knows what we’re thinking and is willing to do something about it.

It is trespassing and in a number of cases it is also breaking and entering. I am baffled as to why these laws are effective against squatters.

Squatters should have no legal standing and should be able to be killed.

The Marxists just out of view who pushed for laws making this possible and who back these groups fervently believe anyone in favor of property rights should be killed.
