Not wearing a seatbelt is a small offense so why did he freak out over that? He has several options put the belt on and no problems from the po po. Don't wear it and go through the windshield and be a grewsome scene for fireman and EMS to remove.
Please save the riots for the Dem convention.
Thank you.

If the windows were tinted so much that the cops couldn’t see the seatbelts, that is a violation. Why do some people need to darken their windows that much?

A lot of people just don’t know how to de-escalate situations, or obey authority. They only know one way: escalate and keep escalating until you destroy your perceived opponent(s). No matter how many there are, no matter how much stronger they are, no matter how many guns are trained on you.
They would rather die than submit one iota.
Shoot at the police and wind up at room temperature. Who knew??
So the guy had an arrest record and a prior charge of illegal carry of a prohibited firearm due to prior criminal arrest.
He was illegally carrying another gun at the time of the shooting, which he used to start firing at police for no apparent reason
And people wonder why the guy was shot?
You open fire on police and bad things can happen to you
Police in big cities don’t usually waste their time pulling people over just for minor infractions. Often they use that excuse if they suspect the driver of being involved in something else, for example if the make of the vehicle matches the description of one used in a recent robbery or other crime.
Never did agree with seat belt laws being a primary offense.
That being said, don’t shoot at people. They tend to shoot back. If you are shooting at a cop, be aware that their friends will also shoot you.
However... 100 rounds? WTF? I know budgets are tight, but save some for required training on the range.
“Furious BLM protesters clash with Chicago cops after video showed Dexter Reed being shot almost 100 times in less than a minute”
They didn’t shoot HIM a hundred times! C’mon man. They fired almost a hundred rounds AT him. Ya gotta know that probably 90% missed him.
These riots would stop instantaneously if their welfare stopped.
Good question! Besides simple crazy, I'm guessing there might have been a sidearm and some loose ammo on the passenger seat that he wanted to restrict to private viewing.
almost 100 times in less than a minute
And the news-writers are apparently offended about the number of rounds that went into him. If I was as crazy as he apparently was, I, too, would be offended that they were not more impressed with his prowess as a cop-shooter.
If it will help calm tensions, bring out the body, and I'll put in a few more rounds as a tribute, to show proper respect for the man.
You see blue lights in your rear-view.
You pull over, shut off the engine, put the keys on the dash.
Grab your license and registration.
Wait for the officer to approach, open the window.
Carefully listen to his instructions, follow his commands, cooperate fully.
Limit your responses to “Yes, sir.” and “No, sir” to the greatest extent possible.
99 times out of 100, you’ll be on your way in a couple of minutes.
This moron was the exception to the 99.
It’s not hard people, and has absolutely nothing to do with your race.
That said, given the fact that large swaths of the black population does not attend public schools to any degree, do you think that part of the problem is that they did not learn even basic civics? What else explains the proclamations that “I diddndo nuthin’” and “You stop me for no reason” or “I know my rights!”?
(Nothing says ignorance of one’s civil rights louder than saying “I know my rights” as you are being cuffed and stuffed for something profoundly stupid and utterly avoidable.)
“Reed is seen resisting orders to roll down his window.”
Hmmm...I think I see the problem....
Quite often it is because the individual has outstanding warrants, is on probation, or is on parole, in which case even minor infractions could mean going back to prison.
There is much more to this story than being told. For one thing, plains clothes officers do not make traffic stops, and they always use a minor offense when they want to stop someone like crossing center lane or so other BS. They wanted him stopped for some other reason. The cop approached the car with weapon drawn? Something ain’t right here.
Huh? I thought them glocks(?) could do 600 rounds/min.
The video is at the link.
Decide for yourselves what it shows.
It looks like a mob hit aa much as an police action to me esp given the pretext is a seatbelt violation.
Tje pic of the dead perp doesn’t match the 100 round verbiage.
Bodycam footage showed a plain clothes tactical unit approaching Reed's SUV and ordering him to roll his window down with their weapons drawn.
Three items packed in that one sentence that raise serious red flags, Why would a tactical team, in plain clothes, with weapons drawn, be necessary for a seatbelt violation?
I would think anyone faced with that scenario, including law -enforcement officers, would be highly concerned that this was an attempted robbery scheme and that these were not police, but criminals.
It's an unnecessary show of force even in a crime ridden Chicago. That being said though, if this is how they must operate for their own safety, than the blame lies in the administration.
I grew some the first time I saw Morgana run onto a ballfield. I was 14 at the time so I would grow some at the drop of a hat.
