FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 9, 2024
Phoenix, AZ – Following today’s Arizona Supreme Court’s abortion ruling, Kari Lake released the following statement:
“In addition to covering the state of Arizona as a fair and honest journalist for 27 years, I have traveled to every corner of this state on the campaign trail. I speak to more Arizonans than anyone and it is abundantly clear that the pre-statehood law is out of step with Arizonans.
I am the only woman and mother in this race. I understand the fear and anxiety of pregnancy, and the joy of motherhood. I wholeheartedly agree with President Trump — this is a very personal issue that should be determined by each individual state and her people. I oppose today’s ruling, and I am calling on Katie Hobbs and the State Legislature to come up with an immediate common sense solution that Arizonans can support. Ultimately, Arizona voters will make the decision on the ballot come November.
As your Senator, I will OPPOSE:
– Federal funding for abortion
– Federal ban(s) on abortion
As your Senator, I will FIGHT FOR:
– Baby Bonuses
– Making adoption more accessible and affordable
– Strengthening the economy so that Mothers can AFFORD a baby
– Protecting IVF
– Extending the child tax credit
– Paid family leave
– Investing in childcare
I am not going to D.C. to legislate an issue that has been returned to the states. I am going to D.C. to secure our border, strengthen our families and help President Trump Make America Great Again.”
And there are retarded nutters with ‘R’ after their name who want to restrict access to that, too.
An absolute abortion ban will cause women to vote Democrat. It’s what killed us in 2022.
Not a good idea to look to be to the left of the Arizona SC here, particularly since they were going after Hobbs in particular and her executive order. (Election fraud, not so much though out of that court.)
Concern troll is concerned.
L
I think that was the plan for as to why Roe and Wade was overturned. The Democrats basically, in a political tug of war, let go of the rope and we fell over ourselves in celebration. Only to get whacked in 2022.
I hope so.
When the scourge of election fraud is taken out of the equation, we’ll start to understand the real level of support for abortion.
It’s lower than the media tells us.
I think so, too. One buy one, states will stop this “Murder of Innocents”.
Abortion is the way to lose this election. Trump and Lake are wise.
It’s also Hugh & Series Concerned. LOL!
So abortion should be left to the states, unless they vote pro-life, then it is pro-choice all the way.
“Abortion is the way to lose this election.”
Anyone who wasn’t in a coma in 2020 and 2022 knows that the abortion issue will have no impact on this election. Neither will the issues of economy, immigration, or anything else. The steal will be the only thing that matters.
If you are serious about abortion, then have truck loads of fake aborted babies dropped off at universities and State buildings.
Guaranteed in 10 years the Republican party will have a significant pro-choice contingent or will water down the pro-life plank so much as to be meaningless. Right now the party is going left on economic issues, and there has been an influx of gays and “former” leftists entering. If it makes up 4 or 5% of the vote, that is all it will take to swing elections and people here would sell their soul to win an election.
Good for her, the idea is to get elected then work for change.
Kari Lake, and some of the Freepers here, seem to be ignoring the fact that the Supreme Court ruled on the validity of the law. Whether you are pro-abortion or not has nothing to do with the fact that the law on the books has never been repealed and is in force.
What the Court ruled on is a legal question, not a political one.
You might be right, and this ruling could end up turning out a blue wave in AZ this November.
I oppose today’s ruling, and I am calling on Katie Hobbs and the State Legislature to come up with an immediate common sense solution that Arizonans can support. Ultimately, Arizona voters will make the decision on the ballot come November.
I would not be surprised to see a proposition on the November ballot that turns out the pro-abortion vote in large numbers in an attempt to repeat 2022. Either way, it will be a big issue.
I’d like to see every Republican candidate hammering home the point that the Supreme Court ruled the individual states must decide the issue for themselves.
The low-infos don’t know this is the case, so it’s been giving the Dems a lot of opportunity to gaslight and turn it back on Trump, as if it’s somehow all up to him.
