“Wrong! I live in Arizona and this ruling will energize the female, liberal and moderate voters.”

This ruling will save lives and that is always right.

“She instead should have ignored addressing the ruling directly and stated all of the ways she would fight to serve all in the state.”

She met yoy half way. She did address the ruling (foolish not to because it would have come up in the campaign anyway), and she did lay out the things she would work to do as Senator.

What is a “common sense solution” to tearing off the head of a baby to abort it??

I see you did not get a reply, from this OP.

I meant it rhetorically to Kari...

Hate to break it to folks, but no one is going to win a statewide race anywhere in the US that says they support a full and complete ban on abortion, period.

Don’t have to like that reality, but that is the reality.

You believe that an absolute ban on abortion should be the law of the land, you can and should fight for it, but you better understand, you have a long long long multiple decades long fight ahead of you that isn’t about politicians its about changing the opinion and culture to where the majority agree that abortion should be 100% banned, and that is just not remotely where the US is ANYWHERE... not a state in this union where a statewide elected official running for office is going to get elected by stating they support and will fight for an absolutely ban on abortion.

Banning of abortion in states really only started in the late 1800s, and if you think the culture today is the same as it was in the 1880s or 1910s when these various state bans passed, you need to wake up.

Don’t shoot the messenger, but that’s the reality of where we are today. There is not one, single solitary state in this union that would pass a full and complete abortion ban today... not one of them. Not the reddest red state in the deepest south would pass a complete ban on abortion today.

This could change, with hard work and time, but where we are today? Don’t expect any politician trying to win election for any statewide office that would have any influence on actually passing an abortion ban to win.

A representative here or there could win depending on his district, but a statewide officer like a senator? Nope, not going to happen anytime soon.

This issue needs to stay the heck out of DC. They shouldn’t be allowed to run our lives like they do in the first place.

I agree, this will almost certainly motivate women to vote against the GOP in AZ... rightly or wrongly.

I’d expect AZ to try to pass an update of this law, loosening abortion restrictions quickly, with Republicans (who control both houses to put up something allowing abortion up to 12 or 15 weeks... and the dems just claiming its too extreme and even if they got the house and senate to pass it I would fully expect the Governor to veto it, claiming its too extreme, just to keep abortion as a hyper issue for the election.

To verbally oppose the ruling was not wise. Politics aside - it wasn't wise for her soul. Leaders who don't support the innocent will have that blood on their hands.

I think Kari does support the innocent. She also supports the Constitution, just as Justice Alito and Trump do.

Wheat and chaff moment for these power whores along with their groupies. Seeing all these Repub candidates taking the chaff side is very revealing. Spare me “winning” bs, we have a lot of fundamental problems that no one has the guts to eradicate besides abortion that has already torn this country apart in various ways. Competency crisis of this clown world is something to behold though, entertaining to say the least.

Right now. That is when the Arizona Supreme Court decided to revisit a law from 1864 Arizona Territory about abortion?

Very skeptical of the timing. This is likely timed and designed to provoke a revenge of the whores vote.

> I am not going to D.C. to legislate an issue that has been returned to the states.

Yup, just like Dread Scott !!

Some people can be property.

Seriously, America does not deserve to continue unless we stop this barbarism, the L--rd will no longer be on hour side if we don't end this.

> If every Republican went hardcore pro-life, the United States would be a socialist nation after a single election and have a national law on abortion that permits it right until birth.

As opposed to being a socialist nation after a couple more elections ?

Abortion means people are legally property of another, its antithetical to the Founding and the Constitution, and is affront to our Creator.

There’s an abortion ballot initiative in the works, the people directing it said that they’ve got enough signatures to get it on the ballot.
